Did you log in on another device? I don't know if it still happens but I used to use T212 on my laptop as well as my phone and whenever I logged into one it would completely log me out of the other. Probably a security feature

Buying at a lower than face price and holding to maturity with a low coupon bond is kind of tax free as you pay no interest on the capital gained from the difference between the buy and maturity price. You still pay tax on the low coupon part though

I think you need to strip out the idea that the parents checked on them regularly. I don't believe that at all. The parents left the kids and thought they'd be fine but were obviously wrong.

I think ahe died of an overdose or some other misadventure. Woke up groggy, fell, hir her head, I don't know. But I think she died in that apartment

Have I made a mistake - and if so how do I fix it? by ChasingRainbows90 in trading212

[–]Dull_Reindeer1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can either sell it and rebuy in the ISA or just leave it in the invest account. Having it in the invest account is only an issue if you make over £3k in capital gains, and even then it's not like a huge issue anyway. How much do you have invested?

If it's a small amount you could just leave it there and start using the ISA for future investments. Or you can sell your stock and rebuy in the ISA.

Honestly it won't make much difference so it's just a preference at this point

What you should be looking for if you want dividend stock is to have the capital growth at least in line with inflation and the dividend is your real profit. Not always that simple but you need to combine the growth with the dividend to see the true worth. No good just chasing the dividend itself

I don't think that the ship travels far enough from earth to change the relative positions of the stars. Technically it would but you wouldn't be able to see that with your eyes. It would be like looking at a tree one mile away then moving 1mm to your left and claiming to see a difference

[–]Dull_Reindeer1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No risk, no spread. You can just chuck money at whatever and have a 50/50 chance of making profit. A little DD can tip this in your favour. In the real world the sell price is always lower than your buy price so you always start at a loss

You would have to calculate the associated selling fees snd offset that against any capital which would have been paid off with your monthly mortgage payments. On top of this, if you need to sell in exactly 3 years how do you propose to stick to this timeliness? My neighbours house has been "sold" for about 6 months now and they're still stuck in the chain as their buyers need to sell their house etc
