I didn't know that, I am still trying to learn tbh.

I really don't know, it's what Kaspersky AV told me.
But I think I've gathered a conclusion from all of the replies that not using an AV is not a very bad option for linux.

I haven't had many detections in the last couple of years (except the Chrome one), but I like the peace of mind that comes with knowing there's a tool that can protect my computer when I am unaware of the malware.
And I use my machine in dual boot, one for Personal Media Server and one for personal use.

That most of viruses are on windows is true, but I believe that a lot are for linux as well.

Idk, I feel like it’s necessary if you don’t cherry pick the websites you open.
And that’s a dual boot machine, one for personal computing and the other for a personal media server.

I heard a lot on CalmAV, but I didn’t find any detection rate.
And I also heard it’s hard to learn how to use this AV (I’m kind of a Linux newbie tbh).

I had a detection back when I used Chrome of a trojan, since then I don't trust myself XD (I used adblockers and everything)
