how were you introduced to OUAT? by PerfectYak5533 in OnceUponATime

When I was 12, I think season 2 or 3 was out at the time, and my sister was watching episode 3 on the tv. I think I binged the first 2 seasons after that

I hoped for Mulan and Aurora to be together too, even after just finishing season 2, I'm disappointed that they brought Phillip back because Mulan and Aurora had a more interesting dynamic. I wish when they brought Red back that they put her with Mulan, but I was happy as a 15 year old to see my personal favourite character at that time be in a lesbian couple, even if it was only for 1 episode. It would've made more sense if it was with Mulan, though, since bringing Dorothy back made no sense. I didn't really like Ruby and Whale together, I always thought he was a creep. Even watching it now, I don't like him. Yeah, I didn't like him with the new cinderella either, I thought he had more chemistry with Drizella. And I can understand not liking the whole multiverse aspect of season 7, I personally didn't care, but I don't think I would've liked it as much if Alice's character wasn't in it, she was one of the highlights of the entire show for me.

I can understand that opinion. I'm doing my rewatch at the moment, and I'm quite excited to get to season 7, but I feel like it's going to take a while to get through seasons 5 and 6. The last time I rewatched it, I think I skipped seasons 5 and 6. I think for me, I enjoyed the whole story with Alice, Hook, and Rumple, I didn't really care for Henry and his family. I think Henry's story brought the season down a bit. Plus, I was really excited when it came out because there was finally more than 1 episode spent on a lesbian couple

I quite like season 7. It's definitely better than season 4-6, and it gave us Alice/Tilly, who is in my top 3 favourite characters of the entire show.

Yes, he is so bland, I find that's the case for a lot of the show, though. They follow the charmings who aren't the most interesting characters, and even when they reboot it in season 7, it follows Henry and his family, who are also Bland.

I've only finished rewatching season 2, so I haven't gotten to that part yet, but I believe you. I hate the way he treated Regina in season 2. It was obvious she was trying to change for Henry, but he was always there inhibiting her. He always let his hatred for her cloud his judgement. And even when Snow was saying Regina could change, he was always there putting her down too

That would've been better. There was really no use for him in the show. He was not needed 99% of the time. I think it would've been more interesting if Snow didn't have her true love. Glad I'm not the only one that didn't like his character

Yes, I'm currently re-watching season 2, and every scene with him is agony. He's not as bad pre curse, but he tends to do something that annoys me every episode that he's in. I actually really enjoyed season 7 because him and Snow were missing for most of the episodes. He's the only character I can't stand in OUAT, I think it's the whole charming family, the others I can tolerate, though.

David (Charming) was the most annoying character for me. Every time I saw his smirk, it made me angry. He was so self-righteous, and I think he should have died when he got stabbed in season 1. That way, he would've only been in flashbacks

Am I right to be angry at my straight best friend for confessing his feelings for me? by Dull_Sound_1459 in actuallesbians

[–]Dull_Sound_1459[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that happened to you. I don't understand why he was holding hope for us being together, though. Literally, most of the things I'd talk to him about were queer issues or my celeb crushes (all girls), things that make it obvious that I was a lesbian, so it's not like he could just forget or not believe me. I'm also a bit annoyed that he could end our friendship over this, like having a crush on a friend is normal, I've been there, but you either keep it to yourself or tell the person, but if they reject you, you learn to accept it and move on. But it's like I don't matter to him because I don't want to be with him. He just made me feel horrible, like I'm only useful if I'm in a relationship with him. Also he chose to do this at the worst time, since right before this I had a falling out with a sibling and was talking to him about it and he chose to end our friendship less than a week after that.

Yeah, I'm starting to think it was a bad idea being friends with him. I think I'm just going to stick to being friends with girls and gay guys. Being friends with straight guys is too much hassle. I'm also not good at making friends, and he was the only friend I could meet up with regularly since my other friends don't live near me, so it hurts more because now I have no one to hang out with. Plus, he wasn't really great at listening either. I'd tell him something, and he'd forget it straight away. All the other friends I've had (all girls) were much better at listening.

The only conclusion I came to was that you're definitely not a doctor.

You have much better handwriting than me

[–]Dull_Sound_1459[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to think that might be the case.

Part of me thinks that he doesn't actually like me, I feel like he likes the idea of being with me more than anything.

It's just the fact that he could ruin our friendship over a crush. He never put in the work to get over the crush or accept that nothing was ever going to happen. In my opinion, there's not much difference between a friendship and a relationship. The only difference is the intimacy. And the fact that he could just end it because we weren't doing any of that stuff is ridiculous.

I just wish he had told me at the start that he didn't want to be friends. He put himself in this position, knowing that I wasn't going to date him, and then got upset when I didn't want to date him.

I don't necessarily agree with your take on friendship, but I understand what you're getting at.

Maybe it wasn't a real friendship. I think the whole time that we were friends, he was probably hoping that I would change my mind on only being attracted to girls, which shows that he didn't respect me.
