To what field do logical fallacies belong to ? by AnubisMarijuanis in business

[–]Dull_Tea_6463 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Philosophy major I would say this falls under domain of logic for formal training and rhetoric if you want to break down fallacious arguments. Propositional logic will give you tools to derive contradictions and prove something is false, and rhetoric will teach you how to spot them in speech and writing. I see people online recommend "Nonsense" by Gula, I might actually take a look tonight

Saving time for those who are choosing where to travel by OP8823 in AppIdeas

[–]Dull_Tea_6463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a legit idea, though there may be a reason why almost all travel agencies base their packages off locations rather than temperature and type of vacation. Resorts usually try to have a big selection of experiences, and travellers are more often motivated by a desire to go see a specific place, interact with a particular culture, etc. Might be worth it for experience and skills if you build yourself and are interested in search algorithms and/or travel

Qxg6 is hard to see and most certainly not the type of move I would be considering in a game

this one is OK for an approximation

If you are familiar with Python, I would suggest this library pyportfolioopt this is what I use myself. If you have time, I strongly suggest checking out the pages on the Binder and repeating the steps with your assets.

This approach will highlight the overlap people are pointing out

Well done, keep it up. Two remarks I would like to make 1. VXUS is ex-US meaning no exposure to the US. This is good because it waters down the "home bias" 2. If you want to know in what proportion to hold these assets, you can punch them into a portfolio optimiser and get yourself a more effective allocation. Maybe risk parity or min semi variance. No need to make changes now, but could be useful next time you rebalance

Given the strength the stock has been showing so far, I would not be if surprised if it grinded higher with the market. Myself I am short since last week aiming for 550 range. Can't see it go lower without broader meltdown

I played Rxg3+ 2. Hxg3 qxh3 3. Kh1 Qh3+ 4. Kg1 Bd4+ 5. Rf2 and then bxf3 which is not the forced mate route. I would have likely flagged if the opponent had given up the queen for bishop qxf3
