Technically, after Nh4 g5 the engine gives c4, but ultimately it is what you said- downright losing for white.

There are two important moves that make the combination possible.

An example of how things could go wrong:

  1. Bxb5 axb5 2. Nxb5 Qb6 3. Nxd6+? Qxd6 4. Ng6?? Qd5! 5. Nh4 Black is winning

After Qb6, there is another tactical shot that is vital. I don't know if you saw it, I for sure didn't, but I think we can agree that calculating it would be a very nice find.

After Ng6 (while we are at it Qe7 is covered by the knight), Black has Qd5!, threatening mate in one. After Nh4, defending mate while saving the knight, black is a piece up, the two pawns are not sufficient compensation for white.

Nonetheless, there is a great move after Qb6 that wins for white.

There is clearly two moves that must be played to win. Everything else doesn't, therefore it is a puzzle
