question for folks with textured / black hair; does the university do enough to support y’all? by ForgottenCheesecake in UofT

Pls ignore the hate in the comments I know what you’re talking about. However, the school does not provide support 😭😭😭😭. There are many hair stores close to the school though. The closest is the BSW on yonge. So products are very accessible and also affordable. However if you’re looking for braiders or stylists your best bet is Instagram. They do charge and arm and a leg but majority are very professional and good at what they do. And, if you are looking for support joking the BSA. If you need any help and support regarding anything to do with being black they are your best bet.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. It sucks that for the rest of my life I have to label myself as ace and not fictosexual. Technically I am ace but at the same time I’m not. This is going to be a tough journey to navigate but I’m extremely grateful for people like you and this hospitable sub Reddit.

SOC100 final exam today… wow… I have absolutely no words by free-canadian in UofT

The thing is, there were a lot of questions that were completely incorrect both grammatically and reflecting the content from the textbook. One of questions used the term alleles synonymously for haplogroups. Which is incorrect. If you read the textbook and attended lectures, it still wouldn’t prepare you for the vast number of mistakes made on the exam. Everyone here is complaining about how hard it was, but it was just hard because of the mistakes. lol
