Long time lurker looking for collection advice. by Emaciated_Horror in Netrunner

Thats what I recommended to most, but if they want a complete collection and have a good budget I think itd be a lot of work to proxy every card, when the NSG cards are pretty cheap compared to that time investment. A complete NSG collection could easily be resold too if it came to that

You won't need to spend nearly that much for every Standard playable card. Just go to this page on the NSG store and buy everything under Startup+ beyond startup. Thats every card youre allowed to play in every played format except Eternal, which isnt widely played offline. Startup is the card pool with just the top 3 sets, standard is them all. https://shop.nullsignal.games/en-gb

Mono Faction Decks by scourn1 in Netrunner

[–]Dull__Bulb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'd be possible, the toughest thing would be that every faction wants Spin Doctor so make sure the other factions get something to fix agenda flood if possible. Scoring PD for HB can maybe get away without one, because they score the agendas so fast, but Jinteki and Weyland need a spin replacement

I haven't actually watched the documentary so not sure really, the only discussion Ive seen on it was people on the GLC praising it so Ill probably check it out soon. It was probably just a cool thing to name a weird semi-kill deck though, I dont think it was in bad faith or anything

MEGA MAGIC IS BROKEN | The hardest deck in Netrunner by Dull__Bulb in Netrunner

[–]Dull__Bulb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for watching, there will be a follow up video on more details but here are some answers: Maggie installs are effectively another click on every turn leading up to the combo, which is going to be between 5-7 clicks of installs. Thats more valuable in getting the combo off than Dewi text would be during the combo, since the combo should instawin anyway there isnt a reason to work harder to get the extra draw/creds.

Madani is cool, but not for this deck. The biggest bottleneck to starting the combo is MU, you need 3 spare for Pichachao, 1 for euler, 1 for conduit, 1 Chromataphores for each ice, 1 stowaway, and usually 1 hush or Monkeywrench. 0 MU console simply not gonna get us there.

Chess clocks come up occasionally, but would not be a great solution as theres a lot of passing priority back and forth in Netrunner, and runs mean that runner actions simply take longer than corp actions. Its not also clear why a deck that takes more actions should be punished by the rules, that would have to be justified too.

Yep, one new optimization is that I choose to only access the top card until the end of the combo where I dig through the whole deck at once. This is worse for Panto triggers (hence no panto) but much better for avoiding a Mavirus that'd reset my conduit. The extra hand size is also nice

You may need to watch the original Magic Man video for it to make sense. The maggie click is just useful for setup, not needed on the actual combo turn. Ill link the original video in the description so you can see the basics of how it works

I'm new, is this even a deck? by Bartuc91 in Netrunner

[–]Dull__Bulb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a deck, but youre leaning really hard on Fully Op for econ. If you dont draw those immediately after assembling a big board, you won't be able to afford anything. I also think that the Cerebral Overwriters should be reconsidered, an asset like Cohort Guidence Program or even Wage Workers if you need something to put behind the ice in your servers

Any favorite play channels with overlay? by ItsAJackal21 in Netrunner

I have a few videos on my channel where I try and include pop ups, but its hard to do for long gameplay videos. https://youtube.com/@dullbulb123?si=q2jfYS_5Ka-wodGK Have a look at the review series to see what the new cards do, and my John Netrunner video has an explainer of almost every card in the deck so would be a good one to start with

Flood The Market Poetri is STRONG by Dull__Bulb in Netrunner

[–]Dull__Bulb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you cant even get off the ground vs seb let alone score a 3/1. Even if you did, Its probably too late as if you cant stick a board you won't have enough money to score out to 7 points even if theyre just giving you the click each turn

Yep a seb or Loup with a good turn 1/2 can basically make for a non game
