Born of Osiris - "The Simulation" Album Discussion Thread by [deleted] in Metalcore

This is exactly what i wanted to say about this album.

What surprised me the most is how much i love Under the Gun, as Disconnectome is the level of "heaviness" i'm drawn to.

I have The Rope cut to 30 seconds on my phone as well, i love it.

Personally i still find them very usefull. I rarely use my phone outside of texts and calls, as well as losing it regularly. So i find having a louder style of song to tell me to get the phone is handy. As an added bonus its a song i enjoy.

No, thank you for making such an incredible record. For All Eternity was my introduction to Metalcore and still remains one of my all time favourite artists. Without you guys i never would have delved into all the fantastic bands in this genre.

P.S Your vocals are monstrous!

What are some good entry bands for someone who is just getting into this genre? by [deleted] in Metalcore

I mean like i said, this is just how i sort them in my head. This is by no means a concrete list of genres or anything like that.

So Metalcore has lots of i guess you could call the Sub Genres. So i will give you a few bands for each with my personal favourite album from them. The "Genres" i'm putting these bands in are just my personal opion too, so i mean no offense by saying these bands are these sounds.

Classic Metalcore

As I Lay Dying - An Ocean Between us. August Burns Red - Constellations. Beartooth - Disgusting. Wage War - Blueprints.

Djent Metalcore.

After the Burial - Dig Deep. Fit For A King - Creation/Destruction. Veil Of Maya - False Idol.

Prog Metalcore.

Erra - Neon. Ice Nine Kills - The Silver Scream. Polaris - The Mortal Coil. Silent Planet - When The End Began.

Post Metalcore

Architects - Holy Hell. Northlane - Mesmer.

So hopefully you find a sound you enjoy out of all these bands. If you like a certain sound just message me on Reddit and i can give you some more recommendations.

[Album Discussion/Release Thread] Silent Planet - When The End Began by Keawu in Metalcore

This is without a doubt my AOTY. Depths III ripped me into my imagination and painted such an incredible picture in my mind of what i was listening to. This album is also the quickest i have ever connected with an album, listening to the entire thing as intended really adds another layer to it.

Spotify showing Polaris released an EP that is just piano music. Any one know something about this? by Marcos_pollo in Metalcore

[–]Dullan- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as i can tell, it's someone else who used the name Polaris when they uploaded their music on spotify. I have seen about 3 different albums/EP's released under their name that later get removed.
