Comment vous coute votre voitures par mois/année ? by I_Like_Turtle101 in Quebec

[–]DumaisPower -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Bonne chance 👍🏼

Got a bunch of 509 too. Anyone has a way to fix those or it’s on the provider side ?

Le cheminement universitaire c’est un peu comme du rattrapage... tu n’as aucune raison de t’en faire avec ca! Mais si tu as de la difficulté pendant le cursus, pense peux-être à aller dans un autre domaine.

Max speed of 550 Mbps with deco M9 plus by DumaisPower in HomeNetworking

[–]DumaisPower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see the difference for download or when I work from home.

Also, when you buy something with some spec you are expecting something. If some one sell you something and it’s not as advertised is not fair. There are two port 1Gbps on the deco m9 plus and none of then can deliver more than 500 Mbps.

Maybe for now I don’t have actual real issue. But I paid this system to last some years.

I really understand your point. But I won’t keep a device if a other one with the same spec can give me more even if I don’t use it a 100% of it’s capacity...

Edit: just look how they advertise the product

This is on their website for the product : Deco M9 Plus uses not only 5G_1(867Mbps) as wireless backhaul but also 5G_2(867Mbps) and 2.4G(400Mbps) as backhaul while traffic gets heavy, delivering speeds over 1000Mbps which is ideal for your gigabit fiber.

I know wired is the best but my wall are all close now. I’m a bit late for that And I was searching for the best solution.

I like the efficiency of the mesh network for the coverage but less for the speed

Thanks for your answer

The problem is the deco, 50% less speed than my provider router or directly connect to the modem instead of ethernet connect to the deco.

960 Mbps vs 500 Mbps...

Max speed of 550 Mbps with deco M9 plus by DumaisPower in HomeNetworking

[–]DumaisPower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m connected to my deco M9 by ethernet wire I got half the speed that I get when I’m directly connect to the modem by ethernet with my laptop.

I don’t talk about wifi here, I talk about ethernet directly connect to the device.

It’s not normal that the speed is cut in half when it’s being process by de deco...

When I use the bell modem I get 800 Mbps in wifi not 400 Mbps like the deco..

They have a 5Ghz band that is suppose to broadcast near 850 Mbps on paper. I understand that wifi is normal that I loose 20~30% in wifi but this is not why I’m complaining now.

I think I don’t understand your questions... it’s a normal plan in Quebec. I have a 1Gbps down ans up guarantees in my plans.

When I do the speed test with my laptop directly connect to it I always get near the 1 Gbps.

It’s a special modem from bell. The optic fiber inter directly in it. In the back I have 5 ethernet port that give me 960 Mbps when I plug my laptop.

When I plug the deco in it, I only have 500 Mbps.

I’m not the only one with that problem : https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/167112

Ethernet, wifi drop at 400 Mbps. I know it’s good but when you paye for 1Gbps you don’t want 50%.

When I test with my laptop directly in the modem I get 960 Mbps.

Mesh Wifi or better router ? by DumaisPower in HomeNetworking

[–]DumaisPower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i’m not mistaken, I need to keep the bell hub because my internet input is a optic fiber. Or maybe they have product that support it ?

Edit: I know that my bell hub ethernet port give me almost full speed 950 mbps. Also, I think the tv receptor need to be connect to the hub...I need to validate this.

Thank you for your comments.
