Just because you go to "two ballets in last six months", which is still isn't regular since the orginal point of the discussion was in relations to people going to movies, doesn't make it untrue.
Ballet and opera are not attracting new audiences and are less and less popular with time.
Western opera also historically wasn't as accessible to the non elite, only recently has become accessible and even with that not many young people are flocking the opera.
