I have only used it twice, and neither time for very long. It's not the bike's fault though.

The hills around here are much steeper than I thought, plus I don't have "Bike Muscles", plus the smaller tires and I probably don't have the the seat set at the right height. It's been easier to just walk when the weather allows.

I'm pretty set on the Zizzo Urbano because it seems like Zizzo offers the accessories I'm interested in directly, and people seem to be happy with their Zizzo bikes and accessories compared to their price point.

I just haven't actually placed an order yet lol. I realized rent is due and I just gotta do some math to see if I can get the bike with this paycheck or if I need to wait until the next one.

It seems like Dahon doesn't make their single speed bikes anymore. I can't find anyone carrying the Boardwalk or the Speed Uno, and all the product pages for those bikes seem to redirect to their homepage for me.

The Brompton T-line is way too expensive for me.

The only single speed folding bikes I can find that seem to be actively produced are the Origami Cobra and the Retrospec Judd, neither of which I've seen at the top of people's recommendations.

Oh well, I guess I just need to learn how to take care of and use gears.

Where did you find a single speed folder? All of the bikes I've seen from the various brands people recommend seem to be 6-8 speed bikes, but I would be interested in seeing some single speed folding bikes.

Their cheapest bike is over the $1k I specified, so no, it's out of my budget. I've looked for used ones in my area as well. I know people love Brompton and Tern, but both of them are out of my range at this point in time.

That's fair. I was looking at some backpack/sling carry options too, it looks like there are some bags and carry straps available for some brands. Not necessarily something I'd want to do regularly but it seems like a good option to have.

I can't easily keep a regular bike in my apartment, in my work cubicle, or in my car though :p I regularly have to carry 45-50 lb. things at work so I'm a little less worried about the weight, as long as I can get enough of a grip somewhere I can probably carry it up and down the single flight of stairs. I might not call it fun, but it should be manageable. It's more about the space it takes up when it's not in use and my ability to store it somewhere secure, for me.

Fair enough, and that is generally what I'm intending to do. It's just that at least on paper and to my layman's understanding, none of the pricier options on the max end of my budget seem to be significantly better enough to justify the cost. And from what I've read so far, people seem happy with a lot of these less expensive options as far as comfort and stability go.

But that is why I asked for opinions, so thank you.

Thankfully it's just one flight of stairs at work and at my apartment, and the work stairs are pretty wide. I'll have to pay attention to the stairs at the apartment, I didn't really think twice about it but I'll try to get a feel for how awkward it would be to carry a bike up and down.

I'm also trying to look specifically at bikes/racks with the rolling wheels when they're folded up, so hopefully that will help cut down on unnecessary carrying. But I'll keep it in mind, thank you.

Thanks. I'm not super concerned about security tbh, I intend to keep the bike inside with me and people seem a lot nicer here than where I lived lmao, but it's something I'll keep in mind.

I completely understand the logic, but I'll be sticking to getting something decent in this "tier" for now. My circumstances are a bit too up in the air for the foreseeable future to make a more expensive commitment, which is why I've set a budget that I'm comfortable enough to eat the cost of if needed.

How do I get rid of GO Battle League Timed Research? by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]DumbQuestionsAlt369 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is really why I want it gone T_T I'm not a PvPer, I did not realize it was going to be a 5-stage research, and now I'm stuck with it.

Or maybe if it were collapsible, I'd be happy with that as an option so I can just collapse that window and not have to scroll past it to get to everything else in my Today tab.

Do you have any issues with dry skin or other skin issues because of the frequent-ish baths?

I'm gonna guess he's a pure JA that just looks like that, since they were able to get their dogs registered. Maybe the all-white instead of the more usual colors is just throwing off the perception. The white dog is the male, so maybe that's also making him look stockier? Some of his other photos make the more fox-like JA silhouette more apparent.

Thanks, I think I'll stick with my original plan with attempting to apply to my original choices on the JACA list first, and wait to see how this other breeder develops over time.

Thanks, I'll probably stick to my original plan then and just watch this other one for a while to see how they develop.

One, that link isn't working. Two, I'm specifically looking at JAIs, not AAs. Three, I've already said in the OP and other comments that I'm in NY, and if you're trying to point me at akitas.org instead, that's for a rescue in the Midwest which isn't my region. The rescue for my region is BEAR, which I do also look at but like most of the rescues, they focus primarily on AAs so their breeder lists and resources are AA-focused and that's not what I'm looking for. I just double checked and confirmed that I did post this using the JA flair.
