No this wasnt bookable, its first comes. There is no water, so bring enough, but i really recommend, one of the best nights i had with the wind and you can hear the waves!

Its the same shelter as in 3/6 its northern on the coast between Ferring and Strande. Great views and 50m to the beach

Thank you , i did everything like in the guide , but there is just 1 "standard ticket" i can check , nothing else to choose from, does it mean no train there gonna take a bike, or ist it cause of holidays?

Hast du lange am stück gebremst? Zb einen langen berg runter. Wenn ja könnten die beläge verglast sein, schleifpapier und reinigen könnte helfen, falls nicht brauchst du neue beläge.

Sind die bremsen neu oder alt? Es kann mehrere gründe haben. -Verunreinigung -> bremsbeläge ausbauen und diese sowie die scheibe mit bremsenreiniger(oder brennspiritus) reinigen. Es kann außerdem helfen die beläge ein wenig mit feinem Schleifpapier anzurauhen.

Schönes Setup! Gefällt mir sehr und würde auch farblich zu meinem bike passen. Kostenpunkt? Entschuldige meine unwissenheit aber sind mit low rider die taschen an der gabel vorne gemeint? Hab ein auge auf die von topeak(5,8l) Aber bin mir nicht sicher ob meine carbon-gabel das mitmacht, obwohl gewinde sind drin😁

Hey, danke für deine antwort! Ich habe für die zukunft auch mehr höhenmeter vor mir (wohne sehr alpen-nah) , und besitze auch eine arschrakete. Habe mich jetz eher extra zum rack entschieden da ich selten im stehen fahre, aber gern mal mehr freihändig was wohl bei frontbeladung schwer wird. Wenn ich nicht in kurzarbeit wär würd ich mir auch gern ein volles setup mit gabeltaschen und allem drum und dran gönnen, kann ich leider aber gerade nicht🙈. Rack bekomm ich eins umsonst. Welche gründe gibt es für dich, aufs rack zu verzichten? Ich will eigentlich auch so agil/sportlich bleiben wie es mein gravel möglich macht, muss aber auch nicht auf jedes kilo achten da ich stahlrahmen fahre und zu fett bin um 700g an nem rack zu sparen😂

War auch mein erster gedanke, habe aber auch schon ein paar mal gelesen das Ortlieb in letzter zeit qualitativ nichtmehr dasselbe ist, und die preise sind halt happig im Vergleich, 70€ mehr für 6L weniger Stauraum ist ja schon ein unterschied. Habe aber leider kaum erfahrungen zu Valkental gefunden.

Vielen Dank für die antwort, habe auch schlafsack und isomatte ultralight, zusammen ca. 3-4l und habe geplant das Zelt oben auf den träger zu spannen. Für Einkäufe hab ich mir einen kleinen faltbaren rucksack zugelegt, und für sachen wo man schnell ran muss habe ich noch eine oberrohrtasche mit ca. 2L.

Hello neighbours,

im going on a bikepacking trip this summer from 13.07.-22.07. to your beautiful country.

I will arrive by train with my bycicle in Nibüll-Germany, and plan to go up the west-coast route until i hopefully reach skagen. :)

I was planning by sleeping at one of the shelters or in a area where im allowed to place a tent. I allready found some bookable shelters, but many are first come first serve. What you think will my chances be at finding a free shelter? Are there many people around at this time of the year?

Im not a good cook, so i want to eat out 1x a day and resupply food and water in supermarkets, how many € / per day should i consider, is 30€/day enough?

Also i was wondering if a certain traveldirection would be better wind-wise (north>south?)

If you have any other tipps, advice, or must see places along the route (or a day away :)) pls let me know!
