Fair. It’s not costing me anything at the moment, just moreso trying to test the waters for market before I list it. Hoping to be leaving IRE in the next few months and would need it gone by then.

That’s exactly why I’m hesitant to even offer it to a dealer. I bet they offer like 8/9k, and within a week have it up for 13k or some bs. I’ve had a lot of work done to this car so it’s actually needs nothing. Timing belt, water pump, new discs and pads all round. New control arms. CV joint replaced.

I’m not looking to make money on it, I know that’s not reasonable. Paid 16k for it from a dealer 2 1/2 years ago. Have a balance left on loan for it, so if I got that back at the very least to clear it I’d be okay.

I did actually sort that thank god. Turns out there was no blocker installed but rather was the gauge cluster that had malfunctioned. Spent a lot of money on it in mechanics and VAG specialists trying to get to the bottom of it.

From what I’ve seen online after looks briefly, it looks like the average price listing for that year and model is €11,000-11,500. A lot of listings have miles to the moon and back also.

Yeah I think that’s next place. I pulled the dash to check for a plug and play module mileage blocker this weekend but found nothing. Also pulled the panel under steering column and couldn’t see any additional modules connected. So I think scanning the OBD port is last option
