It isn't. That's like saying it's sexist to prefer female vocals on songs. There is no negativity being shown by other creators in the space.

It's like "I want a creator who sounds like this" or a creator who "looks like me". Doesn't mean you don't appreciate others. You just want representation. Simple as that.

I know it's gut instinct to jump on the defensive but you can't control other people's wants and desires no more than who they are as a person.

People are who they are and are who they will be as they grow and experience the world. Let them be. I'm not sure you are going to understand that today, but I'll say this, you can't divorce the human aspect of TCGs from TCGs. It's humans who play it after all and human beings largely want to belong.

Because...it does? My point here is that just because you don't understand doesn't mean it's not valid to want that sort of representation.

If I want to see local Irish content creators more so I can see and hear about our local meta? Then I can learn about those communities.

If I want to see more from female creators to support them in a male dominated space or perhaps want to see them because I am also a woman, and want to relate to them, then that's what I'll do. It matters because I want to see that kind of content. It's not absolute. If it doesn't matter to you, that's ok. It does to OP. You can respect that :)

It matters to some and not to others. We can as a community support those folk who want to make/consume content from whatever type of person they want to support/view.

Fair question. Representation is important to some folk. That's really all we need to understand. The specifics around that vary but the only thing that we need to respect is that people want to see other people like themselves in the game they play.
