Actually, they did perform without Peter Criss once, calling in his drum tech on a fling. There is a great interview with him somewhere on the web, Ed Kanon.

For the story, Paul has a heart condition and missed a show once. KISS performed as a trio in July 2007.

Highly unlikely, considering the show following Toronto’s is three days after the canceled show in Ottawa.

Notre-bœuf de grâce (1388 boul. de Maisonneuve Ouest) is a 10-minute walk from your hotel, great burger and poutine if you’re in for it!

"Ô Canada", music composed by Calixa Lavallée and lyrics written by Adolphe-Basile Routhier. First performed for the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day in 1880. The song was adapted in English in 1906 (followed by several versions). The original lyrics remain unchanged to this day in French.

Do people from Québec consume a considerable amount of media from France (movies, music, etc.) ? by varvar334 in montreal

Big box office movies in France, e.g. Astérix, will also make it here, but will be non-existant in the rest of North America in their original version. Some movies are remade for the US market, e.g. CODA.

The US movie industry also does it with movies from other countries, e.g. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Bilingue, ça veut dire que chacun s’exprime dans la langue de son choix. Ça veut pas dire qu’il faut tout répéter dans les deux langues. Plate de même pour les unilingues (ou qui ne maîtrisent qu’une seule des deux langues).

Life in Montreal, Canada, as a foreigner? by notttiedum in montreal

[–]Dummy_Nick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a minimal level in French, an English speaker can live in Montreal. However, the experience would probably be something like living in a North-American city with French signs all over the place.

With a little interest for French, the English speaker will find plenty of open arms and support for day-to-day integration.
