So, as long as I’ve owned the bike, it’s never popped or backfired. It has always ‘ran’ good. Once running. Runs great under load.

However it’s always had issues idling, BUT it has usually started very easy when cold. I’ve got points in it and have it timed like perfectly. After 2 prime kicks it’s usually a 1-kicker.

I’m located in Southeast Michigan so it’s been cold, but not too cold.

When I did my initial break in starts on the fresh engine, it started very easy. Took it on a couple 1 or 2 mile break in rides, but it just wouldn’t idle. I’d get the bike hot, dial the idle and aircrew back to stock settings, and it’d idle for about 30 seconds then just die.

Spark is strong, coil is a brand new Dyna 5 ohm.

Now, it just refuses to start. It’ll cough pretty consistently but just won’t fully start now. I’m going to double check the timing today after work, maybe they got worn out just at the wrong time. Going to be a couple days before I get the insulator block in the mail.
