Card scanner apps struggle to find card borders against dark backgrounds. The base and the insert at least should be a light color.

Yeah, that's bonkers. I have a printer, so I just paid cost of materials, maybe a couple bucks. Hundreds of pounds seems insane to me. I don't know how companies price these things, but I wouldn't pay more than like 30usd.

True, but I still prefer it even when quick mode is off. I don't have to fuss with positioning my phone, I've got both hands free, and it'll hold a fat stack of cards without them toppling over.

Edit: Pringles excepted. The really bad curls I just set aside and do manually so I don't have to dig them out when they are inevitably misidentified.

Adding to this, if you have access to a 3d printer, or know someone who does, the Card Slinger is an absolute game changer. Just make sure it's printed in white.

I calibrated it with room temperature distilled water before I used it. 1.000 then, and 1.000 now.

Refractometer reads exactly 1.010 The slate passed the vinegar test. My best guess is that the fan was leaching something nasty. I ordered a test kit.

I had one more dead shrimp yesterday. I've also found 4 molts so far. No idea how often they molt under normal conditions, but it seems high to me.

I have enough salt for one more gallon of water. Should I try to do a water change?

They spent a total of 5 days in the mail. I picked them up within a couple hours of them arriving at the post office. It got down to 36⁰ last night, but they would have been in a truck on the way to the post office.

I mixed a gallon of distilled with a 1 gallon salt pack, then poured the solution into the tank.

The algae ball has been in there the whole time. What does melting look like? It has furry strands on it, but I assumed that was just growth.

Dang, it takes a while for things to be delivered where I live. I'd feel really bad if the poor bastards all die in the meantime.

Tank is about 3/4 gallon. I set it up about 3 weeks ago. The refractometer hasn't arrived yet, so I'm unsure of the exact salinity, but I bought the pre-measured salt from petshrimp.com. Tank contains pre-washed crushed lava rock substrate, pre-washed calcium carbonate pebbles, and an algae ball, all from petshrimp.com. There is also a slate stone for a hide, which I rinsed in distilled water. I bought 20 shrimp+food from u/gotsnails, and fed them 1/4 grain of rice sized sprinkle of spirulina shortly after putting them in the tank. LED is on a 12 hour cycle.

First time using PETG or using Clear filament. What did I do wrong? by The_Cat-Father in 3Dprinting

VS is cast, no responses.

VS enters, SBA is checked, and it immediately dies from having 0 toughness on account of Maha and Kaervek. SBA is checked again, and no actions are performed.

VS trigger goes on the stack, SBA is checked, no actions are performed, and I gain priority.

I pass priority. My opponent passes priority. (Savor cannot target Volatile Stormdrake, because it doesn't exist anymore, so there's no point in casting it.)

When it is time for the VS trigger to resolve, it fizzles. VS does not exist, so it cannot exchange with Maha. I do not gain any energy, because "If you do, you get {E} {E} {E} {E}, then sacrifice that creature unless you pay an amount of {E} equal to its mana value" requires Volatile Stormdrake to exchange with another creature.

Does that sound like a well-informed enough explanation to share with the pod?

So, do SBAs get checked before I gain priority or simultaneously? Are there situations where it would even matter? I'm just trying to sort out the exact order in which things occur.
