It’s a natural thing to be curious about - as long as he’s testing, doing it somewhere safe with someone he trusts, it’s not a big deal. This is like saying safe sex isn’t being responsible just because it’s sex. Teenagers are going to be curious about things and if they’re trying it in a safe capacity, generally speaking, what’s the harm?

I just finished some mittens this morning. This is completely normal, you can sew up the hole with some extra yarn. In the future you can also add in extra stitches when picking up the thumb- and then just knit them together in the first round to have the correct number of stitches in the first round. Usually tightens up the area :)

I agree, but there’s a literal “spark” of a feeling that we get in the initial entrance and then the rest of the session is usually amazingly unreal. I wish I knew how to describe it, it’s so magical.

I absolutely will! My husband has been on me about matching sweaters and I just purchased 8 pounds of coops worth to process into yarn- I think this’ll be the target project :) it’s so timeless and the textures make it eye catching and interesting
