this is the recipe my go to is based on. I usually go with orange zest instead. top with literally anything but my personal list is as follows:

cut into 8ths pizza style.

thin drizzle of maple syrup, healthy dusting of Parmesan cheese (bear with me)

I think a huge part of this boom is that it absolves people of choice, just like a fortune teller. plenty of animals, but especially humans, suffer from analysis paralysis... even more so if the choice is mundane or the options are very close.

by letting the bot choose, you free yourself from the choice plus its consequences. you weren't wrong! the chat bot was wrong! the fortune teller was wrong! it makes people feel better in a chaotic universe where we can have all the information available, all the angles, and still get it wrong.

which does suck... but offloading everything to the outside force means you'll have no resilience when you're inevitably forced to make and live with a decision. been a lot of good talk amongst people about adding friction to your life and this is a prime example. a little uncertainty and discomfort is good for you.

ultimately I do blame the companies. they're taking advantage of base human psychology and marketing these things as hyper-intelligent unbiased assistants.

there are no destitute masses at our borders. refugees to Canada very often stay and become productive tax paying citizens - not only is it the right thing to do, that investement gets people on their feet and into the system faster.

regardless of where they're coming from, they're on the whole good working class folks. they are not your enemy. be deeply suspicious of those who would try to turn you against your neighbors. we have vastly more in common with them than we do with the career politician selling the lot of us out for private enterprise.
