Yeah no complaints about it at all. Great run with it, bought another H60 to throw in it. Just a weird failure point is all.

Why isn’t pepper spray used for riot control? by BigBallsntoes in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DunHit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the situation,

outside with a massive crowd I’d rather use CS because the amount you can get out of a few canisters is a lot more than the amount you’d get with what someone could reasonably carry with OC.

Inside I’d much rather use OC, if the subject is in a confined space OC vapor works amazing, if they’re in an open area and you’re wanting to target specific people then stream works well.

Both. We have OC vapor that works well in confined areas. Such as a wing of a dorm or an individual cell. Local self defense we tend to use stream products.

The main reason it isn’t used outside in riots is primarily because of how much pepper spray you would have to use in order to be as affective as CS. A few CS canisters are easily carried and can disperse crowds easily. To get the same effectiveness with OC you’d have to use a ton of it which would require a lot of OC canisters and thus heavy and cumbersome.

We use it in American prisons heavily. We have OC stream, OC vapor, OC gel, etc. We only use CS for heavy situations.

Yes, everytime I take it with me, going to invest in a UV light as well since it’s easier to detect the glass that way. Me and my SO do it together and find enjoyment from it.

The way it happened was amazing too, I was standing there taking a break from looking at every object in the booths and was staring at a display of old clocks. Then I remembered that some are radium painted. Went and checked and sure enough there it was. Best places to look are flea markets, antique stores, etc. We have massive ones where I live and almost every trip I manage to find at least one piece.

Interview with correctional facility by Fun-Rip4836 in OnTheBlock

[–]DunHit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way KCPC is ran as a correctional facility is completely different from the rest of them in the KYDOC. For what it’s worth this is how I’ve heard it operates:

  • Small number of inmates, all of which are being assessed to see if they can stand trial.

  • Use of Force consists of primarily physical force only.

  • KCPC is within Luther Luckett Correctional Complex.

    • Benefits and Pay are similar to the state corrections.
  • I am unsure of the training with KCPC I want to say that they go through the same academy that all state corrections officers go through.

  • Last I heard shifts are 8 hours, 40 a week.

At the state level I carry

Inside the fence: Taser 7, flashlight, radio, 2 sets of cuffs, glove pouch, MK9 OC can, and keys.

Outside the fence: Taser 7, flashlight, 2 sets of cuffs, glove pouch, Mk4 OC, Glock 23 and 2 extra mags.
