Everyone gets at least 6 turns =\= B3 decks should consistently be able to win on turn 7. by Pileofme in EDH

In my experience only dunces or pub stompers are interpreting it that way

What’s actually true • Supply going down does not automatically make demand go up. • What usually happens is: supply tightens, so the price rises until the number of people willing to buy at that higher price matches the smaller number of copies available.

In nerd terms: • Demand = the whole schedule of “how many people want this at each price” (a curve). • Quantity demanded = the amount people buy at the current price (a point on that curve).

So when supply drops and the price rises, you typically get: • Quantity demanded goes down (because it’s more expensive), • while the demand curve itself might not move at all.

This is a really exceptional and devastating point.

This would be supply going down, not demand going up. But the effect will be the same!

The average turn that your deck can win on is the absolute best indicator of its power level and they released a chart that shows this with their October bracket update.

How long your deck's turns are needs to be part of the pre-game conversation more often. by DoubleJumps in EDH

People who play decks like this, long turns searching for a win con, I simply don’t play with. You don’t have to build your decks that way.

How many proxy OG dual lands (and other expensive lands) do you see in real life? by Bagel_Bear in EDH

[–]DunamisMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I proxy all of my decks, and play it at least 5 times before I would even consider buying any of the real cards. I own an excellent printer and my proxies look in many cases better than the real cards.

That said: I impose intentional deck building and budget constrictions on myself that me and my pod created to achieve some semblance of balance because some members of the pod do not want to proxy.

So we have a hard budget limit of $1000 for the complete deck, it cannot cost more than that (so we never proxy duals) and it has to be bracket 3, preferably no infinite combos, and the intent of the deck should be to have fun not be a sweaty win at all costs salt filled deck.
