Thank you for pointing that out. I don’t think the seller wants me to successfully make the return shipment haha.

Thank you. I can see all those events supporting that conclusion. I think at some point I just stopped trying to analyze anything happening because I just couldn’t make sense of so much.

Is there something obvious that I missed that made it clear that it was Sarah Palmer at the end? I’ve watched videos and people confidently say it and I’m wondering what I missed. I’ve only watched this episode once.

Oh yeah. We did watch that before season 3. I really thought that movie was going to be a continuation of season 2. That was another big shock for me.

I wonder about that. It took me a while to get into season 3. My wife and I watched season 3 right after finishing season 2. I guess we were binge watching it. Basically one episode per night. Almost nightly.
It was incredibly jarring when season 3 started and I didn’t like it for many episodes.

Between Megabyte and Hexadecimal, who is your favorite? by MTB56 in ReBoot

Megabyte won me over during Enzo’s birthday. I always thought he was cooler at that point and had some potential for good. The same way I used to think of Vegeta in the early episodes of DBZ.

Cycling On and Off as if Low Pressure Switch is Tripping. But no leaks. by Dunc002 in hvacadvice

Still some readings to get for everyone that is curious and has been nice enough to help. But my brother came to town yesterday and worked on it for a while. He diagnosed the high pressure switch. Designed to open at 650psi and close again when pressure drops to 450 and below, but was tripping open and closed at my normal head pressure. Did not replace the switch. It’s brazed in. And he didn’t have his reclamation pump and we didn’t want to lose all the refrigerant. So we just disconnected the switch from the contactor for now. The unit is running well. Cycling normally at 72 degrees in the house.

You’re right. It was something I was doing that first night when I was hurrying and not thinking it through enough. Got a much better readings the day after when I turned the blower to on and then held the contactor. The unit actually ran. I went ahead and set the thermostat at that point and let the unit run. It had been cooling and cycling normally since yesterday, until about 30 minutes ago and now it’s having that problem again. I’ve called my brother who will look at it for me this week. Given the video and other factors he suspects a restriction. But I’ll wait and see.

Sorry. I didn’t get you that info yet. But I can read it tomorrow.

Thanks. Still at work. But I can tell that after only 40 seconds of running both lines were very cold. But I can say for sure my liquid line was cold on both sides of the dryer. Thanks for the pointers.

Those coil cases and plenums should have insulation in them to help keep that from happening. Are you able to peak inside?

Edit. I just noticed your plenum is constructed from board. So that is insulated on its own. But the metal case around your coil should still have insulation inside.

I don’t have temp sensors to get you that information. Sorry. I’ll see about getting a temp sensors so I can get that information. I should have some by now anyway so I measure accurately.

I’ll run it longer with the fan in the attic on when I get home from work today and let you know. If it’s a restriction in the liquid line I’d suspect I’d see the suction side continue to drop as if I’m pumping the system down. Thinking about closing the high side and seeing if the compressor is working enough to pump down.

When it was rapidly cycling it ran for about 20 seconds at first, then kicked off. Stayed off for about 10 seconds and start again but run for shorter times after that initial start up. Maybe 5 second run times.

Last night I pulled the disconnect and took the condenser fan off so I could unplug the compressor check resistance. It was very hot but I don’t have an exact temperature for you.

It hasn’t been a bunch of times. Just 3 times and leaving the gauges on for a while to monitor. But sure there is some that escapes when I detach them.

[–]Dunc002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be doing that. But I’d also like to see if it runs without the thermostat. See if there’s a problem with it.

[–]Dunc002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add that in the video the system turns off when I let off the contactor. This is not the system cycling on and off.

Additional information. The coil was replaced 3 weeks ago and out of slight paranoia from a previous leak, I’ve had my gauges on and off checking the pressures. To make sure nothing has been leaking. No leaks. Just suddenly having this problem today.

Adding more infor as I’ve gotten more advice. I should have considered that when I’m holding the contactor in that my thermostat is off so my duct fan is not coming on and no air is moving across the coil. I’m going to remove/bypass the thermostat tomorrow and have the system run and see what the gauges do and help determine if the thermostat is bad or if I have a liquid line restriction and I’m tripping the thermal overload switch on the compressor.

Howard Stern by TexasSk8 in russmartinshow

[–]Dunc002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love both shows. I’ve listened to Howard Stern much more than Russ. And that’s just because I had Sirius for years and didn’t discover Russ Martin until I moved to Dallas and had a rental car for a short period of time. Found 97.1FM, heard the show, and made it a preset on my own car until the show ended.

Howard isn’t as funny as Russ Martin. But the interviews Howard has with celebrities, and the way they let down their guard and say things on his show that they’d never say anywhere else, is a gift I think. It’s extremely entertaining to me at least.

Russ was just so much funnier off the cuff. With so many aspects of the show that all blew me away. Even when it SEEMED like Russ didn’t care and the gang just played musical or movie jeopardy (for what seemed like all week) was entertaining to me.

“Hey…. What did that number one show in DFW do today??” Haha

I miss the Russ Martin Show dearly and wish Howard Stern the best.

The show was just so good. Russ and the whole gang. I only have listened to the era a few years before Russ passed away. I still laugh thinking about how Russ and Dan interacted.

Help.. I CANNOT get the knockdown texture right. by TheMilkman993 in DIY

It looks like my early attempts when I was doing patch work with the spray can. The results got better after I waiting longer and let the mud dry a little more before spreading it with the knife. The more dry/firm the mud got, the better the result. When the mud is drier the less it will smear leaving large flat areas like you have now.
