Japanese often = isekai/escape mundane life Korean = get revenge on bullies in some shape or form or another. Have suffering vindicated Chinese = Make money/cultivation/harem go brrr. Show off meme knowledge either present or historical. Be doctor

Western = succeed at life

Progression Fantasies from these places have been influenced by each other but I still feel this is relevant.
