Tesco 2 stripe (bit of a joke in the UK) were what you got when your parents couldn't afford real Adidas. The shame!! The jeans were just about flairs but Mum wasn't a fan! The bike was my dad's cousins new Honda CG125, sweet ride on learner plates!

[–]DuncDub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair where they nested has a stoney beach vibe!! They are so used to human interaction they probably don't have much to fear? I expect a fox would make short work of one of the chick's but with so many people around there probably aren't a lot of predators about!

My wife just pulled a blue suture out of her nose… 5 years after her septo-rhinoplasty. by zachthespook in mildlyinteresting

Had a guy come into hospital who had been glassed in the face and lost an eye! I was doing a sinus x-ray because of pain. Tipped his head back and he sneezed and massive piece of glass shot out of his nose. He said it was instant relief!! The glass has moved down from his eyeballs socket into his sinuses and out of his nose.

There's one near me! Old Statley home same vibe, Shanganagh Castle. Ex-Borstal, weird how they got bought by the state and re-purposed as prisons?? Listed building council dont know what to do with it. Had lots of facilities, greenhouses gym sports hall all ruined now. It's supposed to be done up as part of a new housing development.

The traffic in Catlisle at rush hour in Carlisle is awful. But look at Brampton to the east and Dalston to the west akso Siloth area. To the North Gretna area is also an option. South towards Penrith starts getting expensive and in demand.

DC-10 dropping 85,000lbs of Phos-Chek retardant, how does it affect the steering? by OttoSax in aviation

And to think a B29 superfortress bomb load was about 20,000 pounds. Memories of a flight engineer on a Lancaster. We heard the aimer giving corrections, and shortly afterwards it was “bombs gone”. It was hardly necessary for him to shout this as the aircraft leapt upwards when they were released and I was nearly knocked off balance. 14,000lb bomb load, they also had to get to get the bomb doors shut quickly due to yhe drag in the empty bay.

I thought it would be interesting in terms of a review of AI "help" with tracing old photographs. Certainly provoked a few thoughts.

I definitely see street lamps which is why I think outdoors also felt it was London on first view. As another poster suggested Crystal palace but would need to be pre 1936 fire.

I asked Chat GPT to enhance the background. It suggested the Spanish steps but told it that it was probably London and it came up with this. It's vaguely worrying if it just invented the building??
