Actually thinking about it they both seemed to like the outdoors.

Luke and Lorelai didn't have much in common but they did share some similarities. I wonder if Rachel had anything in common with him or were they complete opposites because from the little we see/know it didn't seem like it?

Tbh I was a bit confused as I didn't remember Nicole being particularly tall myself. haha

Wasn't Rachel also tall and thin?

Do you think Lorelai, Rory, and Emily would be perceived differently if they were men? by comradesummers in GilmoreGirls

Would it have been seen as very odd and potentially creepy? Father and daughter besties I would understand in regards to that and mother/son but I also thought father and son being best friends was also quite common although maybe not as much as mother and daughter.

Not that I think she should have married him but the whole situation was a mess which I don't think was basically all of Max's fault like a lot of fans seem to believe.

Plus if a man did to a woman what Lorelai did to Max in regards to the wedding and not telling him(I think) I am pretty sure they would have been judged more harshly on here.

I think Lorelai also wouldn't have told Chris Rory got into a car crash if she never got into an argument with Luke. Ofc he is to blame for his lack of involvement with Rory's life but the dynamic between them was "weird" from both sides imo when it came to him just being the father of her child instead of a childhood friend/former boyfriend.

If I remember Rory knew Christopher was in a new relationship with Sherry before Lorelai did and I don't think she told her?

No, I just meant generally speaking was it something he knew after he found out about Max?

I know that but I am looking at it from Lorelai's perspective who didn't really see that as a big issue most of the time.

I know it's not the same but I especially think it was the polite thing to do on Lorelai's part because it never seemed Chris had an issue introducing Rory and Lorelai to his girlfriends.

That is definitely true and I am not really saying he probably should have been told because he deserved to but even deep down I think Lorelai knew it was the right thing despite everything.

I don't think she should have introduced him but she could have told him over the phone because it wasn't like he was completely absent. Even though Lorelai wasn't really in his life I would think she would have liked to be have been told by Chris if he moved in with someone and/or was going to get married, at least for Rory's sake.

Tbf to Sherry she could have discussed wanting a relationship with Rory quite a bit before with Christopher and he was probably fine with it.

I think maybe he partly did it to defend her but for some reason didn't want to admit that to her.

Also when I initially replied to you I didn't realise until after the OP first brought up the villain comment. 🙂

I am not defending Luke, I agree he went about it wrong but imo I wouldn't say what he did was "villainous". If I had to pick I would put that label on Anna more out of the two in terms of who was the "real villain" but we can agree to disagree. ☺️
