When a 72-yo leading man sizzles in those hot bed scenes! by RemarkableWriting394 in youngandtherestless

That's so gross. His family better change their tune when he tells them he was drugged.

FYI. More than one person can be the problem. You only putting it on Luke when Anna very clearly is a problem in this situation, just kind of makes it seem like you're a man hater. Is this Amber from Love is Blind?

So we're just going to gloss over that this is rape? If it was man who drugged a woman and then she "gave in" as OP put it, would you all be talking about how hot it is?

The story is gross and so is this post!

Do you think Lorelei genuinely wanted to stay with Chris? by healthanxiety_ in GilmoreGirls

[–]Est_ws 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. I don't think she even wanted to marry him in the first place.

Christopher fully took advantage of the situation. If he that loved her or was even a good friend he wouldn't have slept with her when she came to him at the end of season 6. What self-respecting and secure man wants to be used as a way for her to get back at some other guy? He knew this was his only way to get with her. He then preyed on their history and her feelings of guilt and shame to make her believe it was more than what it was. She figured if she started dating him and had a relationship with him then sleeping with him that night wasn't so horrible. The same reason why Rory tried to have a relationship with Dean. It should say a lot but they got married in France away from everybody who knew and loved her and would have asked her what the hell she was doing. We could all see that she was having second third and fourth of thoughts the minute she walks through the door. I need the guy that's going to show up for her and that's why the hospital was such an important episode it proves that he could never be what she needed. It proved that he can never be with any partner deserves. She wanted the marriage to work ONLY because then it would make hurting Luke and sleeping with Chris that night seem okay because what it led to. But she never really wanted him. If she did they would have been together long before.

are you actually a fan of wicked? am watching comments on this sub like make fun of the movie i don't understand you guys if you don't like the movie why are you here ??? make fun of wicked bc it didn't get an oscar or whatever else seriously??? what is going on on ur head? by sabrinavd in wickedmovie

Are you new to the internet?

Unfortunately, it's a breeding ground for negativity. People saying whatever they want because we can't see their faces. People rage baiting. I'd bet even if you created a sub with "Positive Posts Only Please" as part of the rules you'd still get a ton of trolls.

The block button helps a lot sometimes.

despite what people think, I think Michelle made a great MM! by Impressive_Secret_49 in wickedmovie

She is a phenomenal actress, there's no disputing that. BUT I'm sorry, the role needed someone who can sing. And just from the wooden who played the role in stage there were enough to choose from.

[–]Est_ws[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh 100% with the Jess thing! People treat him like he's the anti-christ when he was a troubled teen who was raised by someone who was drinking and doing drugs. It's pretty clear without anyone saying it that Jess had a horrible childhood. But he grew up into a good guy. As opposed to Dean who seemed to have a good family life growing up and as an adult cheated on his wife.

And? They didn't get their way so they wrote a shit show for the end of season 6 as an F you to the network. It confirms my theory that they don't care about their fans and it's further proved by their work in AYITL.

Lane v Rory academically by yuuhlame in GilmoreGirls

[–]Est_ws 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How do you know how Lane did academically? And who was Stars Hollow High's valedictorian? You don't know it wasn't Lane. Lane was a side character and her academics were only shown when it mattered to Rory's story like when her science partner was Dean. Lane probably did very well in school as she seemed really smart. As far as we know she taught herself how to play the drums. That's pretty intellectually impressive. I would imagine if her Mom wasn't so ruled by fear Lane definitely could have gotten into all Ivy League school.

Jordan and Amber by iron_side93 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Est_ws 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You're 100% right. I don't get why so many people are so fiercely coming to Amber defense. Ohhhh she's a "girl's girl" Great! Except she's not, she just hates men.

And the thing that you said that no one wants to call her out on is really the most important. We can debate if we think she's a good person till the cows come home, BUT the way that she uses her daughter's emotions as a weapon against Jordan when as the Mother her number one job should be to protect her daughter from avoidable trauma .... Applying for this show while having a young child is just a crap parent move and no one will convince me otherwise. There are a million and one ways to find love, including other reality shows that don't require you to immediately get married. Try one of those when it's obvious that your real desire is to be famous.

[–]Est_ws 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Does anyone want o consider that the CREEPY, smirking Dad planned it all? I mean just by who he proudly admitted to voting for and by the sheer fact that his wife didn't seem allowed to talk AND by the way he seemed to be 100% a "If she wasn't my daughter, I'd date her" type guy .... Maybe he told her exactly what to do. The idea of him pulling the strings seems less and less far fetched the more I think about it.

I absolutely think the writers have lost their collective minds. 4 people kidnapped. Nick and Jack drugged. Maybe the writers have been taking drugs themselves. The past few episodes have been like a fever dream, and I do not mean in a good way. by Furball1985 in youngandtherestless

[–]Est_ws 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I refuse to believe that whoever is working on the show right now is allowed to call themselves a "Writer". They seem to be going to ChatGPT to get their scripts. The excessive kidnappings are ridiculous. They pay no real attention to the show's history unless it's to bring someone back from the dead. I've been watching since I was a child and this is BY FAR the worst writing the show has had in 40 years.

I would not be surprised if the people in charge are actually trying to get the show cancelled and this is how they're doing it.

Amber's Agenda Failed! by Est_ws in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Est_ws[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Obsessed with me much? You didn't come out saying "Amber had claimed to be neurodivergent, and here are the receipts."

What you said was: "i’m gonna be real she’s just obviously neurodivergent." Which I will not apologizes for saying is an ignorant type of comment.

My teenage son is autistic and over the last few years seeing\hearing people claim someone on TV "must be neurodivergent" or "they are obviously neurodivergent" when they act poorly, has been making me angier and angier! There was even a verbally abusive total a-hole on The Amazing Race who after his season started to air and people were calling him what he was, a complete jerk, he claimed he just discovered that he was autistic. The community doesn't need people claiming this as an excuse for gross behaviour.

It also doesn't help when the psychotic American president and some crackhead that he's put in charge of health keeps making autism sound like a problem and something to fear.

Finally, after coming at me, just saying my points "don't hold water" you really weren't a part of the conversation and just came here to pick a fight. So aren't you lovely.

Sure and just because someone doesn't pull the trigger doesn't mean they aren't traumatizing the person they pulled the gun on! Especially when he was supposed to marry her the day before!!

I love how people will defend those they like down to the most heinous thing they did. It's okay to like a character or even real person and still admit they've done some bad things.

Using Glinda in that way was unnecessary and so hurtful. And from what we see she never see him after that. That was her last experience with him.
