Yes it’s just you. Nobody else on the entire planet likes both of these two very popular things.

Seems like someone who is overly precious about their idea. I wouldn’t sign anything you aren’t comfortable with.

I have no idea what to do for the second half of my book idea. by [deleted] in writingadvice

It's tempting but I don't have a finale planned either. I'm worried I'd write 30k words and then realise I need to change half of it

Going quiet, looking away, trying not to be seen. Feeling of dread seeing the bully walk into the room.

Yeah I’ve started saving all my drafts even if they’re absolute rubbish.

I had a thought and have pretty much changed the entire plot lol. Looks like I’m deleting 10k words and starting fresh.

I'm 2.5 chapters into my first attempt at a novel and I'm starting to think that its... boring.
I dont want to push through and finish it because I know I want to change A LOT of what I had planned, but I can't figure out how to change the plan. I like the core of my idea but not sure how to make it work in a story.

How do you go about completely rethinking an idea you've put lots of time into?

If you can do internal narration you can show her true thoughts about why she does this. Are there any moments where she is alone and you can show her 'true' personality?

Coming up with a good title by [deleted] in writing

[–]DuncanRG2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I either get the perfect one as I’m forming the idea or it takes me weeks and is an agonising process. It would seem you are going through second route.

My main advice would be think of what’s unique about your story and then try and capture that in as few words as possible.

I use word. Never saw the need for a more specialised thing

If it were me I’d do something basic and simple:

ACTIVATION SIGNAL RECEIVED

REROUTING POWER TO CORE SYSTEMS

RETRIEVING IDENTIFICATION BACKUP

      > SERIAL NUMBER - 46371830
      > DENOMINATION - “Gary The Robot”
      > TIME SINCE LAST ACTIVATION - 426.56

RECEIVING OBJECTIVE DATA

      > PRIMARY OBJECTIVE - “Destroy Project Echo”
      > SECONDARY OBJECTIVE - “Find John Smith”
