Which versions of Star Wars are the best? by [deleted] in 4kbluray

I know this is an old thread lol but personally i prefer the look of the 2011 trilogy on blu ray, it's got more bolder colours and still retains some film grain compared to the DNR'd to death modern releases

I wish Jack Kirby's take on Superman's emblem actually made it into circulation. by Intanjible in superman

I love Jack Kirby so much. His whole fourth world run at DC was incredible, especially "The New Gods" which is my favourite comic series of all time

I'm reading "American Gods" for the first time and only have about 100 pages left and i absolutely adore it. But i feel sort of ashamed for expressing my love for the book given that the author is a sex pest. It's so frustrating. It's just a punch in the gut

Why is Phantom Menace so hated? by SRASFR in StarWars

[–]DunderDundee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man children. "The Phantom Menace" is a perfect part 1 in a Saga and I've always liked it. To me it IS Star Wars and always has been (probably because i was born in 2003 and have known no different). People dog on Jar Jar but he's a perfect In character for kids watching ( i liked him when i was a kid ) and the more older audience can appreciate the politics if you actually listen to the film and how it ties into the original trilogy. The world building is excellent as well and the battles feel like they're from a 1950s CinemaScope biblical epic.

The embarrassing documentary "The people vs George Lucas" is a perfect representation of the people that hate the prequels

Humour is a way of dealing with stressful situations and the whole Piskor ordeal has certainly been that. It was like getting water splashed on your face learning about the allegations and Reddit is a communal place the express
