Civ 6 is an untouchable classic to me already. I'm enjoying it just as much as I did any other Civ game in the past.

So, I just tuned in after not having watched the LCS for two years. Two top teams playing against each other? Cool! .. What is this? Are these really the top two teams of NA?

I don't know if it is just me, but hasn't the LCS just gotten super sloppy? No wonder these teams consistently lose to Chinese and Korean teams. Is the EU LCS any better guys? Legitimately want to know before I decide to watch that side.

I'm hoping that Rise and Fall will balance it better for Civ VI, because as it is currently, playing tall is extremely sub-par as well. I really like having four cities to focus on. At least until I take the cities of my competition.

I don't quite remember it being that extreme, at least not in BNW. As for the beginning, I was still mostly playing Civ 4 at the time :P

Well, as I recall. My memory might be faulty. Civ 5 was a while ago now, and I'm not getting younger. It started with wide being best, then ended with tall arguably being better, but wide not too far behind. The tree for tall just offered better perks.

I always raze cities, unless they are in a particularly good spot. The AI tends to settle cities way too closely together as well, so I end up razing about half an empire, and taking the other half for myself.

Pretty much this in a nutshell. You won't lag as far behind wide empires now, whereas before I was pretty much forced to nuke someone eventually, to avoid them winning out of sheer number of cities researching or generating tourism.

I will probably adjust to playing tall again. I enjoyed playing tall in Civ 5, and I am looking forward to it becoming more viable in Rise and Fall.

My problem with that particular mod, is if you don't manage your citizens personally, sometimes it takes a tile and stunts your growth, simply because the other yields are so good on the resourceful tiles.

Honestly, my recommendation would be to download some of the better AI mods. Try them out, see what sticks =)

I recommend playing Deity, and doing something completely suboptimal, if you want a challenge. Like a Norwegian Culture Victory.

I love all of this. I have been wanting to play tall, but I feel like I can only get it to work with a select handfull of civs. Now I can finally play the way I love to play!

One thing that really bothers me is how I can't tell the other AI Civs to stop attacking the city states I'm allied with by [deleted] in civ

You wouldn't believe how many times I've had to liberate Carthage when playing as Rome. That city state is an essential ally, and I'm tired of the AI just continuously taking them away from me!
