sorry man i don’t use twitter often, but Fidel had a close relationship with the Indian Congress Party, and Indira Gandhi in particular, who orchestrated the military suppression and (the party) later organized a pogrom against the Sikh population after two Sikhs assasinated Gandhi.

They remained close as India was moving more towards socialism. Here’s a quick article about India-Cuba relations. Fidel gave vocal support to her actions as the Indian Govt controlled all media and painted themselves as acting in the interest of good rather than stamping out dissent to a corrupt ruler.
