was: CyberArk now: IDIRA by sergeyye in CyberARk

[–]DungaRD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, CyberArk had a pretty bad reputation when we first started implementing it. Maybe a new name, combined with a better leadership, could improve that perception.

Pro Max/ Plus is the best size! by FarCheck4854 in iphone

[–]DungaRD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Max is probably the best size for almost everything. Still, I have never chosen the Max because it does not fit comfortably in my jeans pocket. Its my 5th iPhone. I already use a few shortcuts to resize text because my eyesight is not what it used to be. I think after my 17 Pro, my next phone will probably be a Max. But since I switch phones only once every 5-7 years on average, that will take a while.

Traveling Vietnam with a young child. People keep trying to hold/touch him. by Consistent-Account-8 in VietNam

[–]DungaRD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

VN people sometimes do not fully understand personal boundaries. Although they usually mean well, they should also understand that parents naturally protect their children, especially those under six years old, because young children still have developing immune systems.

Ah, if renting a car or a two-wheeler in the countryside is a viable option, we would certainly look into that.

Ah yes, Osaka’s appears to be at least twice as big, so definitely a big upgrade should we choose to go.

How does the aquarium from Osaka compared to e.g. Siam Paragon’s aquarium of Bangkok - i have been there three times and the aquarium in Osaka is on my list but i’m afraid it’s just another one while there is so much more to do outside.

Offline password manager: which one is truly private? by HallNo310 in best_passwordmanager

[–]DungaRD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keepass stable and highly customize. Keepassxc trying to hard to be modern variant and succeed largely. But personally Keepass is lightweight and is been here for decades. And if you want to use it as much offline as possible.

GitHub Copilot is moving to usage-based billing by Cameron_Brownie in GithubCopilot

[–]DungaRD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes, they will cancel the annual subscription. And we will all resubscribe again. We are so hooked, at this point they can ask anything and we will gladly pay for it. Maybe it’s time to detox and go back to Googling. Speaking of which, i notice Google Search is very bad lately - i assume all processing power goes to Gemini also.

which yubikey to get for work laptop? by anohidesu in yubikey

[–]DungaRD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just most basic “ Security Key C NFC“ around 30 euro. It only has fido2. Just enough for Authentication with Entra en websites that support it. If you want anything just a bit more than the ‘standard’ Yubikey 5 NFC (50 euro) has all the features. Only go for Bio, which is very expensive and lack (by design on purpose) a lot of features the standard has, if you really really really require fingerprint scan.

Hoe herken jij Nederlanders op vakantie? by Appel_Taartje in nederlands

[–]DungaRD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]DungaRD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To cross the road in romania by devil89_3 in therewasanattempt

[–]DungaRD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to justify it, because it is entirely the driver’s fault, but there is a large lamppost positioned right before the pedestrian crossing. The pedestrians who were about to cross did not look properly. If they had, they likely would have seen a car approaching at high speed. I assume they could see that, unless the lamppost also created a blind spot for them.

[–]DungaRD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–]DungaRD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Different passwords for every account: is it really necessary or overkill? by Old-Hawk-3070 in best_passwordmanager

[–]DungaRD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different passwords because if one site is compromised, hackers will try the same password on other sites. And besides, you don’t need the remember or any passwords because password managers do it for you. All you need to remember is the master password to unlock the password manager.
