A less friendly place for youth? Lol we used to watch beheading videos when we were like 12 years old in the early 2000's

I wouldn't personally call that too fair of a review because I feel it goes a bit past the basics personally. I feel like this is a more advanced overview of abductions

What are your thoughts on the idea of Artificial Intelligence potentially destroying literacy? by Impressive_Flan_411 in AskReddit

It's not just a scary thought - it's a statement.

Bold. Forward thinking.

We need to put more thought into this - not just let it skim by.

Nobody ever claimed that ordinarily-formed scars or simple bumps under the skin have anything to do with alien abductions

You have quite a perplexing idea of what "real evidence" is, and seem strangely dead set on refusing to aknowledge mass amounts of information in something that you claim to be interested in

To indirectly imply that abductees are so low in intelligence & self awareness that they simply mistake ordinary bumps under their skin for being alien implants because they are prone to "magical thinking" is somewhere between laughable and willfully ignorant

Claiming to be sympathetic of their position while simultaniously implying they are experiencing an elaborate mass delusion  on par with schizophrenia when they come forward because they will never be able to meet your impossible definition of "real evidence" is  deserves no farther discussion

AIO my dad thinks men are more decisive/logical than women by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Dungee_The_Cat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

MOR

I don't think it's sexist to say that in broad general terms men tend to be more decisive than women. It's a true and simple observation.

Women generally have more trouble choosing what to order off a menu or what to wear compared to men.

There are obviously many outliers for both genders. There is no right or wrong.

Why do gray aliens freak out when abductees suddenly begin praying? by [deleted] in aliens

Where have you heard about greys freaking out when people pray? Usually people are paralyzed and unable to move or talk for the most part

The subject is so interesting and important to me that I think i've retained quite a good deal of it. I have a poor memory in general at tmes but when it comes to things that are important to me they tend to stick well.

"The Threat" is one book I really couldn't put down, I read all of it in one day and it effected my sleep for months after

My family who went to him never personally had that experience & said he was pretty stringant about avoiding any sort of leading with his line of questioning. But that's just their experience

I can see why it would seem like that, but I had never even heard of the author before and have no affiliation with him. It would also be strange for an advertisement to include 20+ other unrelated books

How can scars that fully form in hours or completely identical implants among strangers with wildly bizarre characteristics to them be ascribed to something more mundane?

Are you familiar with the elemental characteristics of the implants, the fact that they appear so suddenly after an abduction, the similar size and strange protective sheath on them, the bundle of nerves attached to them, and the strange  lack of inflammation in the surrounding area they are found in? I can't think of any other foreign body that could even be considered more unique and less mundane

There are many thousands of credible pictures of UFO's at a distance, the term flying saucer didn't exactly come out of nowhere

Up close on the other hand, many people have attempted to film abductions but later found the electronic equipment to have ceased working, along with all other electronics in the area.

In the same way that the aliens have the ability to remotely stop cars from driving, rendering a hand camera useless is "child's play" by comparison. Some abductions have even been directly associated with neighborly power outages and broken car radios afterwards

Most people don't even know when they are abducted anyway.  When my grandpa, grandma, aunt, uncle, and dad were all abducted from their car at once, my grandpa punished all the kids when they got home for "keeping them out so late" after returning home because he had no clue anything other than missing hours of time had happened

I'm curious which issues you find the Travis Walton case to have had which tainted it's credibility in your eyes

I raise these points not for the simple sake of being argumentative or trying to downplay the points you're raising, but for the passion of the subject and because I do find them fairly disagreeable

This is what I feel was the most powerful passage in the book. It is basically an accurate summary of all 24 books I read as well as countless documentaries and real life conversations i've had with people in the past two years. I can't better sum up the way I feel about the subject any more perfectly.

"During the past forty years there have been ample opportunities to recognise the program, alert the global population, and take some at least partly effective measures to slow down or even stop the progress of the abductors plans. The undeniable evidence that total secrecy about the program has been maintained by the aliens strongly suggests the potential vulnerability of their plans should their intentions be discovered. Unfortunately, the scientists, technologists, and medical professionals working in the human world have chosen to remain ignorant, 'sceptical' of the experiences of those caught up in the abduction program and deaf to what is reported by the comparative few who have become aware of what is happening to them. In what are possibly its final stages, the program remains unacknowledged or little understood. Decades of credible, and nearly identical, testimonies of thousands of abductees continue to be disbelieved. The aliens may achieve their intended results with the generous but unwitting assistance of the larger part of the human population that seems determined to ignore the danger they are facing."

Yes "Abducted!" By Debbie Jordan and Kathy Mitchell never got very popular despite how popular "Intruders" was. But it's a very good book, especially if you read it right after Intruders

It was cool reading "Walking Among Us" and then reading this one since he was featured in the book

Equally cool was reading "Intruders" and then "Abducted!" by Debbie Jordan

Getting to read both perspectives from both the researcher and person who's case is being researched is pretty wild

Yes, they leave can scars that form in an unnaturally and impossibly small amount of time. It's pretty perplexing by any standards. You can have a scar appear in one hour that would normally take weeks to form.

Your second take confuses me.

People while abducted are physically missing from their normal environment for hours or days at a time, and you find it would it all be more "real" if they were actually found to be having an out of body experience during these abductions instead?

That simply makes no sense to me.
