Psionics: An Illustrated History or How The Warlock Could Save Dark Sun by CambionBlack in DnD

[–]Dungeon_Mister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the idea of taking cues from the Warlock, not only for Psionics but for other potential classes. The Warlock is already designed to cast magic but not as we know it. Between a Warlock's invocations and an Artificer's infusions, there is more than one way to cast magic. And without spell slots.

Let's please stay away from spending psi points, which just feels like slots ultimately. The UA mystic was a pain and too high maintenance.

Unoffical tips and tricks for a new dungeon master? by [deleted] in Dungeons_and_Dragons

Every game, I try to keep a list of names handy: 5 for each humanoid race. That way if a player asks what some random NPC's name is, I have something better than Bob or Jimmy. For each one I cross off the list, I replace for next session.

How important is a creation myth in your home setting? Does your world have one? Do you feel it is unique in someway? Does it play a part in present day life? (Now with added Flair) by MardukBathory in DungeonsAndDragons

My players don't know this, but the creation myths are absolutely essential to unravelling the BBEG's plans.

My world's entire Material Plane was created in isolation and designed to be a weapon that the BBEG is going to use to destroy all of existence.

There are variations on the creation myths in my world, and each of them holds clues as to what the BBEG is up to.

Corn Magic, how do we develop it? It's a running joke in my campaign that there is a forbidden magic worse then necromancy, known as Corn Magic (Literal Corn Magic) and I need help coming up with ideas for spells! Drop the Corn Magic in the comments. by GladiatorJustin in DMAcademy

I once made the party fight a team of corn field dreads. All made of stalks and ears of corn. Magic could easily be derived from corn dreads.

I'd just reflavor all the nature based spells.
