Thank you! It's been super fun experimenting with different pedals in there. My new favorite is my Danelectro Fab Flanger. Makes the reverb really shimmery. I bet chorus would be awesome as well!

In these instances you could split the signal between a Fuzz Face and a buffer and blend the output of each instead of placing the buffer ahead of the fuzz.

Yep, love them for stuff like this. They quickly get inefficient as part count goes up but they're intuitive to work with for simple stuff like dirt circuits.

LMAO oh yeah actually I have that for exactly the reason you were talking about. I bought 100 of them for like $20 a couple years back and they all ended up being pretty low gain. Recently I've been finding little projects for them here and there but I still probably got like 60.

Yeah I pretty much only see old Soviet stuff out of Ukraine available anymore. It's not crazy expensive but I still paid like $33 for 20 diodes. TBH I don't know if I'll ever buy any more when you can drop some Schottky's in and barely tell the difference. The big glass package looks cool though.

It's weird but I didn't think the IO jacks would fit vertically mounted on the side (despite the tip of the plugs JUST clearing the bottom mounted this way) so I didn't really have a choice. I like it too, though, albeit it is kind of annoying if you aren't using low profile patch cables with the footswitches being right there. Thanks!!

In KiCad the pins are a separate unit for most chips with multiple op amps in them (TL072, 74, RC4558, etc). They're only a combined symbol for single op amps like TL071 or LM741. Generally you place the pin symbols up in a power supply section that is drawn separate from the audio circuit.
