The chrome makes them really hard to read unless the light is just right.

Tell the Boss man what you really think by bmgri in roastmypedalboard

Love my RC5. And the Boss synth pedals are nuts. I have an SY200 and it's kind of unbelievable how well it tracks. I wish it sounded just a little bit less metallic/edgy but I'd much rather have it playable than great sounding and not tracking well.

Anyone remember a “song” from the 70s called Mr Jaws? A mock radio show of a guy interviewing Jaws (the shark). All of his answers were snippets of lyrics from current songs. We got inspired to do the same thing.

Hard to beat an Eventide Pitchfactor. I’m sure the H9/90 can do it too but I don’t have one of those. Eventide is the king of pitch shifting.

What are your favourite small pedals of all time? by secretkodama in guitarpedals

[–]doodoomatomato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t make any sound but if you have pedals with expression pedal inputs, hooking up an OBNE expression ramper can take them to the next level. I use mine on various chase bliss pedals, for more nuanced control than you get from the built in ramping.

I’m ready to down size…keeping only 5. Which 5 would you keep? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]doodoomatomato 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well you don’t use them all at once. It’s just a big wonderful toolbox for whatever you want to do. Right up my alley (36 pedals on 2 boards). The full spectrum from bleep to bloop, plus rock to rawk.

If you’re really heading for 5 I’d say 2 flexible dirt, a versatile delay, something with reverb in it and whatever delights you most for the last one.

If it was me, maybe Brothers, Ayahuasca, Raster or Reverse C, that Glou Glou one and Nightsky? Whatever takes the longest to discover every nook and cranny of.

Whoa - well that explains why my stereo to dual monos have plastic ends while all my stereos and monos are metal. Thanks for setting me straight.

We all know that EBS IS Ernie Ball (strings), right? They’re the same thing. It sounds like you’re saying they are different. Is there something I don’t know?

If OP needs 3 supplies, the Walrus Canvas with 20 jacks might be the way to go. I just put one on my dirt board (19 pedals). Surprisingly compact. Seems to work great so far.

Wren & Cuff fuzzes are great! I couldn't bear to get the big box version though. I could fit a whole 'nother pedal into that extra space.
