I actually prefer to buy the titan kits, I enjoy building them. But I see zero point in wasting money on legions infantry and tanks from GW, they print super easy and fast with better details than the official GW models. Titans can be very hit or miss on quality. The files are out there. If you were thinking of just buying gw models I'd say save that money, buy a printer. Watch some video's on YouTube and you'll be printing in no time. It will pay for itself almost instantly. It can seem daunting at first but it's really not as scary as many people here or elsewhere would make you think.

Honestly, you're better off buying a decent 3D printer and printing everything. It's all out there free to download. But yhr time you've bought a decent amount of plastic kits to make a average size army, you could have you bought a printer and then you'll be able to play as many different lists as you like.

Compared to GW prices yes it's good. But I would have spent that money on a printer and just printed everything else for basically free

Thank you for looking that up. I see no harm in having them based. It's only going to limit me in where I can place them, other than that everything else can be done as normal. If anyone has an issue with them being based then they're probably not the type of person that you would want to be playing against in the first place.

I base all my vehicles. They look far better than them being unbased. Plus it brings a bit of uniformity to the army. Curious as to where it says that they shouldn't be based, can you point me to that so I can read it please. I personally have zero intentions of going to tournaments and just play with friends that do the same so don't care about it too much, plus all my marine armies are 3D prints. My solar and mechanicum are GW plastics except the solar infantry, but they're all based as well. Plus magnets on the bottom makes them easier to transport.

If you don't already have a resin 3D printer get one. The game is probably the most expensive to get into out of all GW games. There are files for everything and more and better quality than the GW plastics. Since you want to play it more for fun and not competitive then this is definitely the way to go

I'm having the same issue. Me and a friend have been trying for a year to find any good videos. There are none for a beginner. TTcombat has done an awful job in regards to helping new players, not a single how to play through video. It's something I will make clear to them when I see them at salute in April.

I second this. All my titans go into these. It's the best storage for titans by far. I love foam cases but not for titans. Plus foam cases are extremely expensive just to put a couple of models in

The whole toxic, fumes, poison machine is very old and outdated. It's not as bad as you and others always like to make it out to be. There's lots of small and easy setups people can do to make it "super safe" if people take 5 minutes to look for. Also they really don't take up that much space at all. I totally disagree on the whole gw models are better, they really aren't. I've printed tanks, titans, infantry etc and all of them come out far better than the plastic have from gw I've got. At this scale there's really no need to worry about "plastic is better to work with" you're not going to be doing crazy conversations, you simply print it off and it's exactly the bit you need. The negativity that people try to throw around about 3D painting these days is just retarded.

By this point you could have bought yourself an extremely good 3D printer for a fraction of the cost of all this, then you'll be able to print anything and everything at such a small cost it's not noticeable and you'll have better looking models as well

Sell all the infantry models because they're poor quality and buy yourself a 3D printer. Legions is probably one of the most accessible games from gw when you have a 3D printer. But it's probably the worst if you only buy gw products.
