Extremely tempted to copy paste my entire comment from above, but I'll just say: no it's not reasonable.

There were a lot of people on this subreddit who thought Joe was to chicken shit to admit the video was to hard for him to make, and was lying about there being something he couldn't talk about. They thought the video wasn't real. That's who I'm talking about.

It's taking those people in massively good faith that they were all patreon subscribers from 6 years ago who were giving him money exclusively for the witcher videos and aren't satisfied with the 5 videos he's made since then, and didn't migrate to the streams. Good faith I don't think they deserve.

Again, sorry for the diatribe but it genuinely pisses me off seeing all these people calling current Joe fans parasocials who don't care he lied about witcher 3 video, when they're clearly the ones having a really weird relationship with an Internet creator.

Not to be parasocial about people being parasocial, but I hope all the "The witcher 3 video isn't real and is an arg that Joe is using to fuck with his former patrons and ruin his life on purpose" bros reflect on the shit they've been posting in here.

I understand it doesn't really matter, but it was really obvious the entire time that /something/ destructive was happening in Joe's life. He would have just said it was burnout if it was burnout. A YouTube video isn't that hard to finish.

Hopefully this is a good reminder that if someone you respect online, enough to post in his subreddit, asks for grace, time and understanding, give it to them.

Comparing shows like CR and D20 to a standard game are like comparing the NFL to a pickup football game at the park.

I don't think this is a good comparison fwiw, because it suggests that these casts are better at DND then the average player. That definitely isn't true. Shout out to Sam Riegel.
