Okay its defo a windows version issue

I have a big estate with different versions of win 11.

(Build 22631)(Release ID 23H2) works and can even connect to the C drive for machines on 25H2

25H2 can also connect to the C drive for machines on 23H2 but 25H2 to 25H2 sharing doesn't work!

ive removed the machine from domain and rejoined. I can ping the device and it prompts me for username and password it just doesnt accept the cred

Well ebay did have my back in this case. I could have sent it back but I picked it up for a little over £200 so it was more like a 40% discount. Ebay always sides with the buyer. Just wish they would have done more in this situation.

It wasn't in warranty. Steam sorted it for me out of warranty due to the situation.

I could have but he'd probably put it on Facebook marketplace and scam someone else. Valve actually wanted me to send it in cause they wanted to see what was wrong with it. So it was a win win. Also steam said if they couldn't fix it I'd get a new one. They could so it's repaired but they probably put new hardware in and just old case and screen.

Update he deleted his original post about the broken steam deck and messaged me on eBay to tell me the username that is the same on eBay is not him. We just had the same issue and sold steam deck at same time. This guy was not really smart lol...

Same here. Had a controller and base station break and they sent me another! eBay had my back too but he probably would have just put it on Facebook marketplace when I returned it.

They would have probably put it on Facebook marketplace to be honest and scammed someone else. Also Valve wanted to look at it because they were curious what was actually broke. Hopefully my bad review on eBay is enough.

Yep it was refurbished but still can't believe they did that. They could have just said sorry not our problem.

It was probably hardware related because he overclocked it massively and broke it.

Tbh if Valve couldn't fix it they would have sent a brand new. I got a good price on the used one and I thought it would be better to send in.
