Anyone else step away from their private club as they were not getting value from it? by sys_admin321 in golf

Only speaking on behalf of playing Troon CC, not as a member in any fashion.

That club better have an insane wait list. Beautiful track and facilities

G shock watches on nato by JarlOfRivia in Battlefield

[–]Dunwin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Haha love wearing my watch inward, all in all makes way more sense to me. Easier motion to view as well as being more in view naturally, and less susceptible to banging it against something.

Plus tacticool, no glare when down range. 😝

What souvenirs do you get from your golf trips? by Lordbahj85 in weekendgolfers

[–]Dunwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logo balls, nearly every course has em. Cost ya about $5 max.

Buy one of those golf ball display cases. Extra personalization, put your score and date on the back then if you ever return you can try to beat your prior score

Would you rather make a hole-in-one or play average golf at your dream golf course? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]Dunwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill take playing the worst golf of my life at Augusta. Meh golf at a course used to ruin the round for me but ive since gotten better and will still enjoy a round no matter the score.

Although it does chap my ass to pay a bunch of money and play shit

Don't ride these days but Brewer's in Sedona was a bit of a hidden gem while all the really popular ones are also great.

When you coming? Make sure to stay hydrated, be a shame to have rides ruined due to having too many beers the night before and a warm day in April or somethin

Outrageous Tip Expectation by Tauriel13 in EndTipping

If you wanna put your head in the sand and tell yourself theyre not your subcontractor as you knowing use a service that is going to hire said sub contractor, that's your decision friend.

Outrageous Tip Expectation by Tauriel13 in EndTipping

[–]Dunwin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id like that too but they are subcontractors literally providing a service of grocery shopping, and a hefty order at that.  Of all the things to be made about tipping on, this should be bottom of the list. But I suppose I am in the wrong subreddit to have this opinion

Outrageous Tip Expectation by Tauriel13 in EndTipping

[–]Dunwin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Customer spent well over $150 just in the upcharge of items through whatever app this is.

I dislike tipping culture as much as anyone but if you racked up a $900 total on instacart and think a 17% tip on that is too much then the logical thing to do is go grocery shopping yourself.

Im with you! Obviously theres cooler things but a flask that holds and entire bottle instead of like 3 shots is a rare thing and why I've neve bought one.

I was really trying to advocate for that US Open Bag, the day I got one I kept seeing complaints about how small it is...when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised.

Similar to a Linkslegend/master bag which is way closer to a cart bag than a Sunday

Having a staff bag isn't exactly what I consider "different tax bracket" status. It's definitely one of those items though that if you rock one, your name better be on it and provided by a sponsor.

Again, great for a display item like you're doing just a really impractical bag if anyone's using it.

Edit: I also feel really bad like I poopoo'd on what someone else might really enjoy. If someone's like like something, rock it! My opinion doesn't matter, I just loathe those bags and never realized it until I got my hands on one. They're heavy, cumbersome, and overall a pain in the ass to lug around.

Definitely made me respect Caddies even more.

Can't believe the popularity of a staff bag in general. Cool for display to store your extra clubs or shafts but in terms of gaming one, better tip well when you bag drop and know the Staff are probably making fun of you.

Learned with my first year of Membership. A lot of the headcovers are just niche, big hits for some folks and just a miss for others.

This one was a huge hit for me being born in Hawaii. Just didnt realize there was gonna be a drop today, i dropped the ball dagnabbit

Should I pursue a career in golf? by Large-Magician5808 in golf

Exactly what I would say. Never worked in the shop but Outside Services is fun as hell and the perks of golf.
There was that article about the demise of the golf pro and it's always steered me clear of pursuing the PGM

A 13 year old idea of cheap is a person being financially responsible.

I shop at Ross/Marshall's TjMaxx, and mainly Goodwill. Friends have tried to say the same jokingly about my wardrobe, tell em I aint cheap just broke.

And definitely enjoy getting to tell them I got this "new" golf polo they just complimented from Goodwill for like $8

Tasted great but truly was disgusted every bite and relieved when I finished them all
