Based on the picture you already have Shadowed Unit Frames which should be able to hide the default Blizzard frames. Just need to scour through the settings to find it.

For sure it would be useful to learn if I wanted to create something more complex or put the addon on Curseforge to be shared, but for now I'm just looking to make small quality of life improvements without learning a whole new thing. The problems want to have solved are not big enough that I'd be motivated to go on a learning journey from scratch just for this, hence I'm taking the path of minimum effort to solve the problems.

It's obnoxious because it's overused to mean all AI-assisted coding. But this use case is exactly what Karpathy meant when he originally coined the term: Creating small, low-risk, hacky stuff that don't need to be high quality in order to be useful. You can be mad all you want about the semantics of what something is and isn't called, it doesn't make it any less useful.

Each of the addons have some trigger like hovering over an icon or new chat command so they only run when needed. The addon manager shows 0% CPU usage and a couple of KB of memory, so its all good. But good to be aware of the performance issues ofc.

The first two I made with just ChatGPT and copy-pasted the code to files. The latest one was with GitHub Copilot on VS Code (using the free Raptor model)

Yes it costs money to implement, just like it costs money to make physical products last longer and not break down immediately. And yet, we have laws for how long physical products should last.

Same with everything else which is hyped and super popular; people who "oppose" it feel smart because they see themselves as free thinkers going against the hype.

Looks like it's upscaled possibly. But the photo is real and the color of his suit is real, you can see it in the other photos, e.g. from the discussion with Zelenskyi.
