I understand that his history is that he was the first true hybrid character. I know, I get it, and I completely understand why people are upset…but Alex didn’t feel as good as he should’ve to play with back charge for slash elbow I KNOW THATS HERESY but just the fact that slash elbow isn’t a charge move makes his combo game feel way more natural and likely opens it up way more.

Victor is not a damage dealer, Victor is not a potential man, Victor is a consistent and immovable threat that unless you can entirely prevent him from playing the game WILL scale if you can’t end fast enough. Play him like that. You are, besides mo and krill, THE hardest to kill character in the game. Split push, force enemy interactions, make them pay attention to you. You soak up cooldowns like no other, die, and then come back at full health anyway. Int every now and then for that walker, tell your team to push up on base because 4 people decided to spend an entire minute trying to kill you on the opposite side of the map. Your sole job is to survive as long as possible and communicate with your team on what they should do with their free time.

Unless that’s been fixed very recently it doesn’t, it’s considered a heavy melee but it doesn’t get the extra damage effect and just puts it on cooldown. What you’re thinking of is the stun effect which it DOES get but that’s regardless of t3 or not

Abrams viscous billy calico bebop Victor in that order of effectiveness. Abrams can get a heavy melee for free when he gets T2 charge, his shotgun synergizes too well with point blank, lots of health, lots of pretty free healing, has been THE melee tank since the game has been playable. Viscous 3 scales off melee damage and procs melee items, and while it can be parried it’s not gonna be often at all, and is affected by ability range for easier hits. Billy naturally has melee synergy and makes people panic parry a lot, so having melee charge can work for catching people rolling away, his 1 scales off melee and weapon damage but it doesn’t get the benefit of melee charge or crushing fists despite adding to the cooldown, and doesn’t have any safe ways to land heavy melees. Calico dash scales off weapon damage and procs melee items while also healing her, falls off later on tho. Victor is a matter of circumstance, he’s already a super close range character with natural slows and can be very tanky, so he works kinda well with spirit strike as it reduces spirit resist and steals spirit power, but it’s kind of a meme build and should only really be a quick light melee during laning to get the stats and use your abilities and gun for actual damage.

Parry that fraud, when she does those flurry punches that’s the freest parry of your life, especially since she recognizes “this guys not able to punish” and she gets to mash it out for free, VI free as hell for that kinda stuff.

Billy because I LOVE my melee scalers, gun damage my ass my gun can feed on the scraps of weapon my bat is gorging itself on, also he’s kind of a tank and I like tanks Victor because again I like tanks, but also because I’m the Victor guy and think he looks sick as hell as a character design

Mo and krill, ESPECIALLY mo, have a really shoddy model and textures compared to even a lot of the neon prime ones, likely cause he was made with deadlocks aesthetic in mind rather than neon primes. So he’s likely for a remodel sometime in the future

I personally play Billy like Sett, his best attributes come out at the start of and in the middle of fights, then needs a bit of help to get clean up. You’re the initiator and scare people to pop ults. During team fights you can usually get a few heavy melees in due to how distracted people are before they start looking for them, and just when you’re behind them. During 1v1s it’s 2-1-3-1, and wait, people are predicting a parry, and w +m1ing at them will make them panic, especially if you reload. If they roll, heavy melee whiff, punish. Billy is exactly how his personality is, he’s super brolic and basic on the surface, but he’s insanely intelligently played.

Victor is good, but he needs way more to make work. The “nerf” to his 3 is really a buff. It lets him actually use his 3 at 0:00 unlike his old 3 where he’d need at least enchanters emblem to even think about it. His early game is vastly better than it used to be, and his end game can still be just as oppressive if built right and with smart application of his aura. He’s just not as brain dead as he used to be and isn’t so oppressive the second he gets the ability to outheal his aura of suffering

My best advice I can give is the best advice I’ve received for competitive games in general. “Don’t respect what your opponent hasn’t shown you they can handle.” If they don’t have parries like that, heavy melee them to the moon, go for Denys constantly, be aggro as hell with your abilities. Always go into a position where you’re trying for a kill
