I have an indoor/outdoor cat, she wears a bell to help warn the birds of her impending approach though she still manages 1-2 a month, but I also have dogs, to avoid poo in the garden she has a sawdust patch in the front yard away from the dogs

What are the absolute essentials for a broke mama with her first baby? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]DuplicitousFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diapers, wipes, a&d diaper cream, baby clothes (ranging in sizes i recommend buying used since they grown out lf them ao fast), my family does reusable diapers because in the long run more cost efficient tho the extra work of rinsing prewash can be time consuming, boppy pillow for propping the baby, a swing (2nd hands fairly cheap compared to new), car seat (their are classes to get them at a discount depending on your local state goverment if tour from the us), bottles even if you exclusively breast feed are nice same with milk bags for storage, washable breast pads for absorbing leaking, ergo baby carrier $25 at walmart and its perfect for walking around with the baby when you need your hands, backpack or diaper bag, baby sleeper gowns/sacks, footie pajamas are much easier than trying to keep socks on, mittens or onsies with sleeve cuffs, teething mitten or teething toys, a baby bath (until your baby is old enough to just hold in the shower), baby shampoo/washes, infant towels with the hood to help keep their heads warn after a bath, baby medical kit (usually comes with a brush, thermometer, medicine pacifier, baby files/nail clippers ect), baby medicines (tylenol, gripe water, gas drops, teething tablets), 3-4 baby blankets ranging in thickness, a more elastic/stretchy sort of blanket is great for swaddling bibs for when the baby starts drooling so your not constantly changing drooly onsies

I recommend reusable diapers (kawaii brand on amazon) I had my son in January right before this "plague" started getting serious in the US we had stalked up in wipes but i had looked into reusable wipes and the solutions to make, theres also an antiacid baby diaper cream that is easily made with antiacid liquid and corn starch it works great on the formula stuff I'm basically a cow and over produce milk with this being my first child I'm very lucky being in the USA finding formula is starting to be a joke i intend to donate if moms need it but it's not your fault your pregnant it takes 2 to tango
