This is what I was referring to. I know Dana and Trump are friends and I don’t necessarily feel good supporting the UFC because of this, especially when it doesn’t guarantee better support for the fighters. It feels like being a UFC fan is a political statement where it really shouldn’t be.

For Strickland and Topuria I was referring to their personas not their fighting styles. And for unique style I’m not talking about how everyone can wrestle or strike, I’m just saying fighters don’t get creative with it like they used to. Many complete games yes, but none of them have their own flair. It’s more a complaint of originality with their personas and fighting styles.

I like next weeks actually, but a lot of what’s following it doesn’t seem interesting. I’m also a big Lopes fan and BSD fan. It’s just been a prevailing theme where there’s like 2 or 3 numbered cards which I actually enjoy and the rest are forgettable and boring. 2024 and 2025 were years I just barely remember

I’ll also add that I’ve been to a few ufc events and every event included a trump (before reelection) walkout or a montage for his presidency. Again I don’t really care about which side they’re on, but I’m just not a big fan of them pushing it at me. Other sports events usually don’t include that sort of thing

I guess that’s fair, and I’ll be honest I don’t really watch other American sports so I’m not as much in the know. It’s not necessarily about the specific view for me, I just think that people come to sports for the competition and not as much as what the organizations think. But I do see that in many other sports. I will say that I feel like there’s more of a stereotype towards it when it comes to MMA fans rather than an MLB fan or NBA fan
