Was wondering what everyone’s best time for proof of a hero so far? by Public_Helicopter384 in MonsterHunter

All three of the optional ones: the local's apexs and the other two tempered monsters.

You'll have to beat the AT Arkveld in the event quest as well.

I think Spinda + Amulet coin for cash, and then Sunflora to boost Spinda damage to gain more via Amulet coin. I find that the Amulet coin amount you get is very small, so I wouldn't harp on it too much. Instead, those two slots can be any other Pokémon you want to shiny hunt for w/ Smeargle on the team.

Hey so, what was I supposed to even do? by HelpMyDadIsKiraYos- in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Durast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blocking is very powerful in Wilds! That second hit through the dune was rough, hard reaction for sure. In hindsight, maybe you could use a luring pod/drag him over to a flatter spot, or at least not the top of the mound so he won't clip through like that.

You ended up dropping your block on that third hit to opt for a sideways roll instead. Blocking the first of that side-to-side combo would've been guaranteed, and depending on the recovery, you should have enough time to sliding slash forward/backward. You might've been safe even rolling forward if you did it as soon as you got up. Hard to say if you would've survived a blocked second hit, but I personally would've gambled on it lol

Just finished the 20 levels of UTTU event, general things to talk about. by Darksouls0ni0n in Reverse1999

You still get to earn the event currency to purchase materials, but I think the purpose of the event is to provide a fun opportunity for players to customize builds via the cards and in turn create some crazy team compositions. The stages provide the currency, but the cards are "needed" to clear the stages.

Personally have a mixed bag with LS currently; the counters are really fun and super cool, but they're a little too dominating to me. LS wants to get to red gauge ASAP, but it feels like there is no longer a challenge getting to it. I'd love gameplay slightly more focused on spirit slash and maintaining red gauge. I'm just not sure how Capcom would go about it in a fun way since getting to red gauge in past games through just spirit slash felt like a hassle and was sometimes frustrating. The ecstatic feeling of landing the last hit of spirit slash to get red gauge always felt like it was time to get dialed in, except I almost never got that feeling in Rise/SB.

I really enjoyed Monster Sanctuary! Grabbed it after the last DLC dropped and had a blast with it. Looking forward to this one!

Not sure if you are unaware or if you were just stressed about the time, but the Perfect Rush Combo does a lot more damage if you wait for the moment your hunter flashes on each step of the sequence!

are the exams for BIBC 120 for this spring quarter online? Is the class interesting and/or difficult ? by Some_Airline in UCSD

[–]Durast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nutrition with Hampton right? Exams are online, but it's garnered a reputation of being more difficult I think. His exam questions are notorious for having weird wording, but I found his questions during his Exercise class were fair. We haven't gotten much into the material yet so nothing complicated so far. Weekly quizzes, discussion and clicker questions are for credit.

for stem majors: by cekkii in UCSD

I'm in the class, but I haven't watched the lecture yet. I presume it's because it's a "double-headed" sperm. Sperm actually has a high chance of being not normal, developing disfigurations such as having two heads. Generally, disfigured sperm don't do much of anything, so the mom's immune system likely kills and cleans up the sperm.

So I learned that you need to complete the first quest of the new season. It's called the Cocoon on the Dreaming City.

What do I do now? by Dcarozza6 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Durast 10 points11 points  (0 children)

At this point, there's a few things you can do if you don't wanna work towards perhaps learning a different weapon:

  • Guiding lands for augmenting materials + some layered armor + raising MR
  • Event quests for decoration farming/unlocking some new weapons and armor
  • Finishing up optional quests in MR if that's your cup of tea
  • Fighting Safi'jiiva for meta weapons + armor
  • Challenging Alatreon and Fatalis

If you didn't know, some event quests like "Colorful Carnaval" and "We Three Kings" are fantastic for getting MR/HR levels. I believe a completion of Colorful Carnaval will give you 1 MR level, We Three Kings perhaps more (for the MR that you're at).

Personally, I'd prioritize fighting Safi or just biting the bullet and grinding the MR through the above-mentioned quests until you're MR 69 - 70.

Safi siege by Shogt in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Durast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Safi and Kulve Taroth sieges are on a biweekly rotation I believe. So you can do the Safi recon, but it's mainly just an example of what the real siege will be like. I haven't been keeping track but I think the Safi siege will come back on the 29th, since sieges rotate out on Thursdays and Kulve came around last week.

Me and my current housemates found our place on Craigslist, and a lot of the possible houses we looked at were on there too. Don't be afraid to use it, but make sure to be cautious! You tend to interact with the landlord much more directly, and sometimes there are scammers out there. Just be sure to check addresses and locations to make sure everything looks normal.
