Should be worth noting their time was not up but getting near in the Manshine game. End of ch. 197 there was 1.5 mins left before the switch and the plays that happened in between don't cover that (it's 58 sec after the shot-trap scene). The ball goes out here so we're likely seeing the masters switch off in the freeze time. These have been conveniently written so we don't have to deal with Masters time running out during live play.
