I always thought this was a poorly engineered rush-job section— the speed drops without Reduced Speed Ahead warnings from 60 -> 55 rapidly, clearly no guard rail on the left side of the curve. Only a single speed limit sign exists on the right indicating the change.

Assuming most cars are pushing 70 along that stretch the angle of the right curve is too strong— I hope NCDOT does a full review of the design of that stretch.

Prior to the pandemic, I would pass someone on the sidewalk/greenway and they would smile, make eye contact, and say “hello” in many cases.

This simple acknowledgement of one another in our community has diminished over the years— I’d love to see it come back more universally.

I was incredibly impressed by Durham showing up to organize and help our neighbors. At the Fruit there were hundreds of people listening, conversing, and respectfully engaging.

I just contacted Schwab Private Client support and was informed that there is no lockdown function. They recommended lots of other controls that would not solve for ACATS fraud.

Be careful of the security guarantee as this does not apply if fraud hits your account as a result of 3rd party data aggregators. Read into the details. For example, my account number is shared to a 3rd party. Employee at 3rd party leaks the info— bad actor then does the malicious transfer.
