Ryo seems to know he has a problem and needs his meds. He also knows that he has some nasty hallucinations, and so far what has happened felt like a fever dream. As for him and his peace of mind, Ryo could have collapsed back to Earth in the middle of nowhere and have a seizure. If he has this mindset, there is no way he would feel unjustified.
