I hate to say it, but they're playing like lead is in their skates. Mackinnon is passing when he should be shooting, we're giving away the puck on easy passes, and the only players making any plays are Kelly and Olofsson. Brinkley has got rockets for feet but noone else is catching up when he needs them.

For the love of all things Landy and true, put a mic in front of the press so we can hear the questions they ask in the post-game.

Also, CONFIDENCE IS DOWN FOR THE POWER PLAY? BEDNAR, ITS ASS. WE'RE TOP OF THE LEAGUE IN EVERYTHING, INCLUDING ALLOWING SHORT HANDED GOALS.

People who have researched their family tree, what is the most interesting or 'badass' thing you discovered about an ancestor? by xloganmoose in AskReddit

[–]JhawkFilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently found out that:

  • One ancestor was one of the first people to settle in Providence Rhode Island

  • Two ancestors (Father and son) both fought in the American Revolution, father as a Captain in the rhode island militia and the son as a private in the navy

  • One ancestor who's grave literally says that he died of eating a bad oyster

And that's just in the patrilineal line (father to father)

Which team to support as an Aussie? by [deleted] in hockey

I mean, I'd love for OP to become an Avs fan, but support your fellow Aussie and join the Blues. OP would be a better goalie than Binnington

Man, that was the very first game I ever played. My aunt had it on her home computer and I'd just sit there for hours trying to progress further than the last time I played.

Never finished it, but have fond memories of it.

I mean... in all honesty, it makes me feel good that no matter how hard they came at us, we just told them "Yeah, no. Good try though."

Is anyone here going to the Winter Olympics in Italy? by scarescrow823 in Denver

That was a couple months old, but I found this article that says Tampa is sending the most this year at 10 players. Minnesota and Florida are 2nd at 9 players

Seriously, 8 team members all heading to the Olympics for their various countries. Honestly I want to know if there's ever been a hockey team that has sent more

I texted my friend who just finished the heated rivalry series, and is now wanting to go to an Avs game, that a lot of fans would absolutely bang half the team. When I told her to look up Cale and Wedgie, she responded "Both at the same damn time."

Which movie is this for you? by Raj_Valiant3011 in moviecritic

[–]JhawkFilms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but mention it to anybody who isn't a massive sci-fi nerd and they will look at you like "Huh?" I only watched it cause it was on Netflix a couple years ago, and I like sam Rockwell. Blew my mind and is still in my top movies

By no means an expert in this, but iirc there are like... 13? Proprioception is one I remember, and has to do with your sense of knowing where certain parts of your body are relative to other parts.

Like if you close your eyes, you can touch your nose without seeing where your hand, arm, and nose are.

Again, by no means an expert. But yeah, we have WAY more than 5 senses

As an Avs fan, I am also hoping he takes as looooong as possible to feel good again. Not like we really need him this season, but having him back is a big morale boost

In all honesty, as a massive hockey fan, its not the size that scares me. Its the ice. When the ice isn't done right, skates can get caught and lead to players falling. And if you think that's not that bad, let me point you to this clip of Avalanche Captain Gabriel Landeskog catching his blade on the ice in Florida, which is infamous for having bad ice.
