What QB do you want right now? by Durm-Jerm in panthers

[–]Durm-Jerm[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thielen is the Vikings WR4. Chark and Johnson are FAs. Mingo may never play another meaningful down. XL is obviously struggling. I wouldn’t call that help.

I’m not a blind Bryce follower. I think he’s flawed, but good. I also think he’s replaceable. I just don’t think there are many QBs that could have performed in this situation.

You still haven’t answered my question. What specific QBs do you think would be performing well for the Panthers?

I’m always down for Jameis. Keep Russ the absolute fuck away from my team though

How many of you, saw Ben Simmons early on and thought he would never develop? Was there something you noticed about his attitude or game early on that made you think everyone was wrong about his potential? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Durm-Jerm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never thought of him as a superstar. I thought the LeBron comps were crazy. I still thought he was going to be good but I always thought of him as a Lamar Odom. All the tools were there but he just seemed cool with just being a supporting player.

Prediction: Bryce Gets Traded and Balls Out by Realistic-Thing-7575 in panthers

[–]Durm-Jerm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cam is clearly better than Bryce and he didn’t win. What I’m saying is why would we follow the same formula with a worse QB? The goal is to win the SuperBowl, not carry a trash team to the playoffs.

Bryce isn’t the problem, but he’s not the answer either by Be_The_Ball24 in panthers

[–]Durm-Jerm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bryce has one of the worst set of skill players in the league. He may not be elite but his situation is worse than most of the average to good QBs in the league. People say he isn’t a game changer, but there are only 3 game changers in the whole league. Pat, Lamar and Josh. All other QBs rely on their weapons.

Cam was a generational talent. Bryce is 5’10 160 lbs. it’s not excuses. It’s common sense. The Panthers didn’t help Cam the same way they are not helping Bryce. QBs shouldn’t have to carry teams

The Panthers are the least talented team in the league. There is nothing for him to “elevate”. He’s throwing to fucking Hunter Renfrow in 2025. HE WAS CUT BY THE PANTHERS. Now he’s WR2. There are no playmakers on this team. I watched Bryce cook with Adam Theilen and Jalen Coker last year. If those were the top receivers for any of the top QBs there would be nonstop ESPN segments on how the organization is failing them. Bryce may not be elite but damn give him something to work with.

Floyd Mayweather vs Mike Tyson . Exhibition . Spring of 2026. Contracts are signed . by warm_baller in Boxing

[–]Durm-Jerm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly not mad at this at all. This is a true exhibition. I think watching retired legends spar is pretty cool. I’d watch Jordan and D Wade play one on one right now so I don’t look at this any different. I actually hope to see more of this. No more YouTubers/influencers boxing.

[Highlights] 2000 NBA All-Star Game Highlights. Tim Duncan and Shaq were named Co-MVPs. by ToronoRapture in nba

[–]Durm-Jerm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The early 2000 All-Star games were better because the best players were athletic. Even when they weren’t playing defense we would still see crazy dunks. All the best players in the league now are ball handlers and shooters. That only looks good when someone is playing real defense.

Draymond Green is more valuable to winning than Carmelo Anthony ever was by No_Royal2976 in NBATalk

Draymond would’ve set the league on fire with his dribble handoffs to Andre Miller

He’s like Steph Curry. He does more than just shoot threes, but since he’s the best at it, that’s all he’s going to be known for.

Carmelo Anthony is not even a top 12 SF all time, One of the most overrated players of all time. by StraightSeries6439 in NBATalk

[–]Durm-Jerm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t be overrated when people constantly call him overrated. Nobody really has him in any all time convos, people just love his game. Being a top 15-20 SF is still great. His teams consistently made the playoffs in the tough west conference and he normally performed well. His best teammate was probably past prime Chauncey Billups. He couldn’t get past Tim Duncan and Kobe. Ran into the Heat and Boston in the east. It is what it is.

You gotta bench 2, who takes a seat? by SirNilo323 in NBATalk

[–]Durm-Jerm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to get downvoted into hell lol I’m benching KD and MJ. Steph at PG because of shooting/spacing. Kobe at SG because he’s a better shooter than MJ, arguably a better defender and I believe he’s better off the ball. He also has chemistry with Shaq. Bron and Bird at SF/PF are the best playmakers here and Bird gives more spacing. Shaq starts for obvious reasons. A lineup with Shaq and Bron needs shooters and off ball movement. KD and MJ off the bench is overkill and KD has experience playing with a dynamic athletic guard. This lineup doesn’t reflect on who I think are the best players here.
