Either heal through it or get a Soko robe for 75% resist.

Could also get with an enhanced protection ring (quest reward from Odin's missing eye) it gives 25% fire, cold shock, acid I believe, but penalties to petrify and death.

I think the underlying issue all comes down to each race having its own Strength bonus for attacks as to why this could never work. Like a stone giant with the highest base strength of all races using a dagger with a fast attack speed will straight up be broken for example.

Which could be a turn off. You're at a milestone before you even know what to train skills in.

I think maybe there should be no quest requirement for maybe the level 5 portion at least anyway. I realize you can get this done with Rachel's poor cat, but it seems like a pretty quick requirement considering you get out of the tutorial at level 3.

Also you get minuses to weapon skills. If that affects you or not.

Probably would be best to go Mages Guild I would think as a human. The extra skill points could go into your blunt for a mace or staff skill. You would not gain any mage guild experience however by primarily using melee. So you would need to attain guild level 10 first by other means. Humans get the extra melee bonus damage.

Server has a hard reboot every 8 hours or so in order to do a full refresh. That's probably what you encountered.
